As I'm working, I sent a message to Gabriel to meet me at the diner. I prefer to meet him in a public setting rather than my laundry room again.
As I serve tables, I think about what exactly I will say to him. And how I will go about it, also what to do if he tries to put me in a tough position.
Today has been a slow day so it has given me much time to be with my thoughts.
I get a message that he is here and I hang up my apron as I have given Xiomara my last table. I haven't seen much of her since I have been busy and she has been busy with that Kol guy but I could see she is more happy now.
Happy looks good on her.
"Thanks for the cover Xio" I thank her.
She nods. "Anytime. Also, if he gives you any trouble, tell your boyfriend".
She knows. Kol must of have told her that it's official.
It sucks to lie to her but I have to.
I nod. "Yeah".
I see him walk in and I guide him back outside. As the door closes behind us, I turn to him.
"Your family is insisting for my sister to move in with them. I am against it, she is planning to find her own place after she graduates".
He shakes his head. "Your sister is now a Hernandez, she has to move in with us".
I laugh. "She's not a Hernandez, the child is. Half Guzmán and half Hernandez. She shouldn't have to move into a place she hardly knows".
He comes closer. "Just like she won't know the place she will move into".
I move far back. "That's not the point, I don't know you and your family like that. I don't trust my little sister with you or them".
He chuckles. "I don't care what you do trust or do not trust. She opened her legs for my cousin so now she has to deal with the consequences".
I slap him. "How dare you?!".
He grabs my wrist and he pulls me closer. "I'm guessing you Guzmán women are the same, opening your legs for whoever you want. Just like you did with Valentino."
"This is about your sister, not you. She will be required to move into the Hernandez residence, or we will take action" he says harshly.
I grab my wrist from him. "Don't ever touch me again, my sister will be on Santos-Valentino property from now on. You will not force her".
He laughs. "Oh sweetheart, don't bring issues to Reign. We have remained peace for quite some time, you will be disturbing it if you do that".

"If Hailey Guzmán isn't moved in with us in two days, I will myself, will come and get her" he says before he walks away.
"You fucking asshole. You couldn't get to me so you get to my sister. How typical of you?!" I shout.

I rush into the diner and grab my phone. I quickly call Reign as I grab my things to leave.
I hear it ring and ring.
He finally answers. "Hell..?".
I cut him off. "Reign! I think I fucked it up even worse, I don't know. We need to talk! I need to fix this".
He interrupts me. "Woah.. calm down Elle".
I try to. "I can't fucking calm".
"What happened?" He asks.
I close my eyes as I know he's going to be mad. Fuck.
"I met with Gabriel, I told him that they can't demand Hailey to move in with them. I know he is doing this because I wouldn't agree to be with him. I don't know what his plan is here, but he is pulling the strings here.
"So, he got mad and now he says she needs to be there in two days, I thought I could convince him, but I ruined it more" I say worriedly.
"I thought I said to tell me these things, especially not to meet with him. Fuck Elle, I can't get involved with this. These are their demands, I can't intervene" he sighs.
"I can't let my sister go.. I just can't. If that means giving myself in her place. I will".
"You know you can't do that... it's mafia law. Any family member no matter the circumstances, has to be on their territory. Hailey may not be a Hernandez, but she is carrying a child who is. She has to go. Why do you think my family and I have certain territories where we are allowed? When we cross certain territories that isn't ours, it means war. I have been at peace with the Hernandez family for a while now and I'm not ready right now to start another fight".
"So.. you're telling me I have no position here to fight against this?" I ask.
"You don't.. I know that is not what you wanted but you irritated him. You set him off and now he won't stop. I told you to not even to involve yourself with him" he scoffs.
"I know I know.. fuck. I can't believe this" I whisper.
Why didn't I just stay quiet? He probably would've changed his mind.. maybe.
"I should go.." I hang up.
I groan as I walk around hating myself for doing something so stupid.
I didn't tell him about the altercation with me with Gabriel because honestly it doesn't even matter.
I need to tell her. I go to her room and I knock on the door. The door swings open and she looks at me.
"I messed things up badly, you have to move in with them or Gabriel will come here and remove you himself" I sigh.
She scoffs. "I knew he was going to make it worse if you get involved. Fine whatever, I can deal with it. It's not a big deal, they were really nice".
I laugh. "What if that was an act? To get you comfortable or even in this position right now by getting you to move in?".
She rolls her eyes. "You need to stop being paranoid, you hardly know the Valentinos and you are sleeping with one".
I actually am not but ok.
"But that's not the point, you grew up with them which I had no knowledge of but you knew them. These people you didn't grow up with, I hardly know Gabriel and I went to school with him".
She smiles. "Well there you go, I guess one of us was bound to get involved with a Hernandez sometime soon".
I sigh. "And I was, you didn't. Why not a small-town boy? An unknown boy... wait did you get pregnant on purpose?".
She scoffs. "Are you kidding me? Now why would I do that if I knew the risks would come with it?".
I shake my head. "Well I don't know Hailey, ever since you got pregnant I don't know who you are anymore. The least you could've done was confide in me but no you didn't".
"You aren't mom, you may have taken over mommy duties... but it doesn't make you her."
I nod. "You're right, but here I am supporting you. Not her! She got mad at me for this, but I'm still here. Where is she? Nowhere to be found!".
I walk away. I can't do this right now.
I have never been her enemy and she treats me like it, I just wished she told me so I could've helped prevented this. Cause this whole situation has dragged not only us down but Reign with us.
