Last night was a success, the celebration of Reign and his new chapter has filled everyone's hearts with looking forward to what he will do now taking Francesco's place.
I am as well very excited to see what he does too. As I sit in the office, I hear a knock on the door.
"Come in" I say.
I look up from my computer as I see Reign walking in. He shuts the door behind him and sits down in front of me.
"Morning mother, I wanted to discuss something with you".
I nod. "Go ahead".
I look at him before he sighs. "Elle was a fake, she's an escort and I hired her. Just for the night and I must say it did work for the meantime, I just didn't want you and father to continue thinking she was with me".
I laugh in my head. My son really hasn't learned at all.
I pretend like he did last night. "But the kiss you two shared? Seemed real. I really thought you found someone Reign".
He nods. "I know but it was to get you and father from pushing this onto me. I understand and I get it but it's not for me. I can handle myself just fine".
I know he can but the day when he can't, we will not be there to save him.
"I understand but you lied to everyone, this goes farther than just me and your father. You lied to my family and his. They won't take your lie easily especially now that you are head. You are starting on the wrong foot here as a boss. They will lose trust in you easily" I say sternly.
He shakes his head. "Lose trust over this shit? I doubt it."
I smile. "Doubt it or not, you are setting the image you want for this unity. Your father and I are no longer picking up the pieces. You fix it or let everyone doubt you".
He looks down and I can tell he felt defeated. He knew he fucked up.
As his mother, it's my job to comfort him but in this business, I need to show my son that his actions have outcomes.
If he doesn't care about outcomes, he will no longer get the things he wants.
He will come around and see.
"Fine, how do I fix this?" He asks.
I nod. "Play into this relationship for as long as you can. Break up if you feel you can no longer play. But if you are to announce that this is fake or that this relationship just ended, they will know you lied. It's pretty obvious. So play into it and you will know what to do next".
He shakes his head. "Mother, we all know if I play into this.. chaos will come".
I stand up and lean over. "You did this to yourself Reign, you are responsible for your actions. You are head after all, you got what you wanted. Now go fix this and prepare moving your things".
