15 - Regroup - 1

The turtles, mainly Donnie, showed us the way back to their Lair, through the sewers. Answering the very question of, "Where exactly are we going to meet up at?"

Hence the "reliable portaling sword" of Leo's that got us here, into the sewers underneath New York. As soon as we stepped out of the portal though, my scanners from my LCD glasses went haywire. Holographical screens appeared in front of me. At first I thought something was wrong until an option popped on my screen:

Do you want an update?

It said.

Which didn't really give me much of a choice, so I tapped on the button and it went on pending, not too long, then was saved in a file for me to check out later. But then a horrid stench filled my nose, so I pulled up my neon purple mask due to the smell, and put up my hoodie atop my head, in case something gross and unexpected could just fall on top of it. Fortunately, my tech gears were suddenly showing me around my database and I gawked at the advanced tech I now had, wiping away the awkwardness.

Donnie felt the shift as well and turned around to look at me with a smile when he saw I was waving my hands around with weird gestures but knew that I was working with my tech. He was amazed at me but was was also staring at me for too long that he got knocked against his oldest brother, Raph. Raph looked back and down at his brother and smirked knowing the reason of his purple brother's downfall, looking back at me just being amazed at my own tech and getting used to it. Raph withheld his tongue from teasing him because he was already in much pain after hitting his spikey shell, at least the injury was small. Unfortunately, he got teased by Mikey and April. He just rolled his eyes at them.

After sometime, I got bored so I switched off the notification modes but left the screens on, just in case to wait and watch out for any alerts that I could know of, at least. I decided to tell them about my newest discovery once we get there or if it was the right time. So, as I walked through the dark grossly-bricked rough tunnel, silently, it felt suspiciously quiet, it seems. The polluted rushing water that flowed by and the dripping pipelines due to poor maintenance that climbed the walls alongside us, wasn't helping the atmosphere that suddenly fell upon us. Except for Uma and Eisa who both walked on, side by side me casually. But I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something that the turtles weren't telling me and that something else of this picture was missing. Two to be exact. I looked around beside and behind. I furrowed my eyebrows trying to remember who it was or who they were.

Mikey and Raph both talked about everything that happened and kept looking back at me with kind smile. Besides, their conversations were not much silent. I could hear Mikey fanboying over having someone who almost look like a neon purple mystic warrior with them. I smiled at the thought of being mentioned. While Raph nodded along with him and talked about that time when I saved Donatello from his exposure.

"Huh, it's awfully quiet..." I heard Uma utter. I agreed with her. Something seems to be missing.

Then I saw Eisa looking at her friend next to her frowning, then asked the question that was aimed at Leo, since he was the turtle closest to them. He was balancing himself at the edge of the curb near the sewer water as if it were pool he could easily look over. "Where are those two little dingbats? I haven't seen them in a while?"

I gasped internally facepalming myself at the mention of the goyles, suddenly pausing from my walk listening in on their conversation in front of me.

"Oh yeah! Those two are quite the pair...hopefully they'll be alight," Uma replied while holding hands with Eisa whilst walking.

"I don't know...maybe they were trapped back at Big Mama's hotel?" Leo replied with a chuckle then scoffed, "Who cares about them anyways?"

"Well I, do!" I answered Leo with a menacing tone of my own. My anger boiled within me because of how demeaning he sounded towards the mention of my friend goyles.
