3 - Newsworthy

As soon as I got back to April's building, I opened the pane glass window and crawled back in without making any noise...just yet. My pink lips smiled mischieviously. Finally, the wall of silence will be destroyed between me and April, and we could do stuff together with no set backs and awkwardness.

In the process of walking up to her door, I just realized that it's like she has her bedroom within a living room because she has lots of doors opening to her kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and more. So, it's like some secret hideout April has here, and I just realized it was like a maze, when I ventured into her floor myself. I then tip-toed towards the door to April's bedroom, and knocked three times onto it.

"Hey, April! I'm so sorry to disturb your sleep but it's urgent. I need to talk to you!" I called out to her as my voice penetrated throught the wooden door and almost concrete walls.

Suddenly, I hear a scream, bedsheets rubbing together, then a loud thud my ear recieving in, an "Ow!" To which I winced to.

"Uh...you okay?" I asked hoarsely nervous. But then I heard a pair of feet thumps, scrambling towards the door and the door's knob finally turned and opened it with a cringeworthy creek. Easing my nervousness and just straight out tell her about what had happened.

"Okay, so April? I went out scouting the place for any crime and--"

"Alright, why did you go outside?! I just took you in like an hour ago. Now, you wanna get back out there where bad people are gonna get ya?!" April shouted at me.

At first I thought that this girl - covered in a cute green dinosaur onsie- was just being bossy when I first met her, no I know that was just her way of caring for someone at least to a stranger, that is.

"Look, just please...listen to me...Baron Draxum randomly appeared in front me and told me to meet up in this location!" I finally told her, well...fearfully, shoving the piece of paper to her chest.

"Wait...so, you know Baron Draxum?" She asked dumbfounded looking at the note reading it.

"Yes, apparently he didn't want to kill me, which I thought he was gonna do, but he was there to warn me about my father. I've met him before, so I guess that was how he knew me."

"Well, Baron and I are friends now. Although, he still needs a bit more discipline, but overall, he's a great guy!" April smiled as she talked about him but then it turned to a thpughtful frown.

"By the way that dinasaur onsie looks cute on you." I complimented.

"WHA--sh-shut up, Fae, and tell me why did you come here to wake me?! Couldn't you have gone there yourself? Saves time going there!" April exclaimed while blushing in embarrassment about her own attire.

"Yeah, I actually could have..." I said prolonging the 'have' but a smirk appeared on my face then said, "But I think this could be a better way in knowing more about each other!"

"Ugh! Couldn't we have done this in a better time? I'm sleepy!"

"NOPE! So, please? If you even have a soft spot in you please come I'm still learning on how to go about the city adn it's a new place for me!"

"Okay, okay, I'll help!" Then she started turning on her heels, "Let me get changed back, first," Then she looked at me with half-lidded brown eyes and closed her bedroom door shut.

It didn't take long for her to get changed out of her nightly outfit and get changed to her black clothed attire. A red 'foot' logo was printed on the middle of her short sleeved shirt and wore long black track pants. She wore her regular red glasses but placed a mask on top of her mouth.
