A year later, Cassandra and I worked together to help keep me off my father's radar as much as possible. The plan was set that I would change my appearance and name once I am around people, but my usual name, Cassandra would call me that only in our house. My goyles would be like, my pet bats. As for April and the brothers, without me knowing about her thoughts, Cassandra had second thoughts about telling them about what happened and actually managed everything by herself. This was because if she told them what actually happened, who knows who may be spying on us to get clues on my whereabouts, resulting in being caught in the web of my family feud and insecurities. Also she does not trust Leo. This would also include attacking a peaceful home who had just invited a wanted 'criminal' from an evil, power-seeking father, who happens to not tell me about my mother and wanted to use me to gain more power, literally, than being figuratively entitled to having, whatever power he had in mind.

I've always felt guilty about this because it seemed that Cassandra was carrying my burden onto her shoulders. Since I have settled in Cassandra's appartment and finally got a steady job as a chocolate chip cookie seller. So, as a result I would repay Cassandra by treating her to the best restaurants in New York city, for me to repay her of her goodness towards me, even though she did not have to. At the same time, I have enrolled myself to Eastland University for furthur studies, and as a previous 'volunteer' in police work really paid off because eventually I was accepted and I finally learned more about everything that my father had never taught me about, such as Animation and having these online Coding classes, so was Photography. And let me tell you, the Science, Computers and Arts, were interesting subjects in there. And once I have experience with Coding and Animation, I could easily get a freelancing job in my own studio, whether for animation or coding. Cassandra promised to renovate her home for the extra space, hence I thanked her.

I lived an amazing new and refreshing life with Cassandra and my pet goyles. Going on solo or partnered up missions. Fighting monsters and bad guys, or just enjoyed our lives running or walking over rooftops. Even, paying the Foot Clan, Foot Brute, and Foot Lieutenant, a visit. And let's just say I hate being stuck in there because it felt really suffocating in there especially when it is underground New York city and it brought bad memories to the goyles' minds. But because of finding out that New York city was actually a place to cherish even more, the goyles' perspective on earth changed for the better.

One Monday night, Cassandra, the goyles and I, were all down for our usual, nightly graffiti at an untouched wall, of a nearby train station. It was a peaceful, invigorating night, as we brought our spray cans for us to paint with, along with some fine brushes for painting the smaller, yet tighter outlines. This action and place was our stress reliever, yet it brought multiple memories because this was the very place where eventful scenes happened. Where it gave us our group name, The Bats. Though that's a story for another time. Partly, it was the goyles, but mostly because of our clothes. I wore something vintaged, yet it almost looked like what the great horror stories of the Plague Doctor would wear, especially with a black hoodie attached to it. As with my bodily appearance, I had my long black hair up in a ponytail, but looped it using the Shang Du hairstyling tools, and at the same time, gave myself two braided locks at the end. Underneath my purple Plague Doctor cloak, I wore a purple satin dress with a black belt with two pouches at each side, but only to my knees, wore black track pants underneath, wore my golden owl shaped broach, wore my black leather flats and were perfect shoes for parkouring, and I also waxed myself to be almost unidentifiable from the wanted posters and took care of my skin and face, just the way I wanted. Cassandra wore her usual black attire, but with a twinge of silver linings, and of course brought her trusty 'hockey stick' with her to be cautious including an additional clothing which is the cape. Now, you may think dear reader that this does not make any sense! Where does the Bats name emerge? Well, it's because of how our clothes were presented to society. My cloak ends looked like it was shredded by some wild animal even though it was made that way, making me look like a transformed bat to a human, same went for Cassandra, with her shredded black cape at the end. So that makes us look like bats of the night.
