"Hah! This should be far enough for now," I muttered to myself, hiding behind an alleyway. Limbs are tired and worn. Muscles aching. My head is getting dizzy from dehydration and shedding tears whilst running. I peered around, frightened, to see if there were any familiar-looking faces who were attempting to find and capture me tonight. My father might have already called his trusted men to find me, placing a bounty on my head. 'I wonder how much though.'
I leaned against the building's sturdy, brick wall for support. Running took a lot of my energy. I then pressed the red ruby gem and transformed my golden badge into an electric golden scooter, pulling up my black mask onto my face so that no one would identify me. It would be as if I wasn't even here.
Presently, I am riding my scooter like a rainbow right now. I felt like I was flying – or should I say, zig zagging through the streets. The scooter has two smaller wheels and is powered by electricity. It also has a golden hue on it so it would reflect the lights and make it dazzling to look upon. As I looked forward, a wide-open road lay before me without anyone blocking my way, though they were only walking on the sides of me so they would not be trampled over. So, I rode my scooter along the footpath, with trees and buildings on either side of the roads, taking in the fresh city air. Although it smelled quite weird, I didn't care.
I spent my time gasping and awing at everything in New York city as I toured the area that was filled with the cacophony of noise around me. With its colorful flashing lights and parties that seemed to be held almost every day. New York City never stops being this busy, it seems. This place is spectacular from all angles! Scooting under tall buildings, next to busy streets, I would crane my neck so that my eyes could see as far up as possible. I've never been on a regular trip like this with my dad before, unless it was for an urgent reason. Almost feeling like a young kid, that felt like a fresh start - even if that was far from the truth. Though, it did give me some time to think about those three boxes.
Unfortunately, my joy of freedom from my former father was crushed when I almost crashed onto a soft, blue and yellow, fur ball with cute tuffs at the tip of its ears. It suddenly disappeared in a matter of seconds, then reappeared behind me in a flash. Curiousness took over that I looked behind me and totally forgot about looking forwards for safety, breaking that rule.
"Huh...so it teleports...OMIGOSH IT TELEPORTS!" I let out a shocked gasp of unbelief, "Wait...did it have white fangs? Those look sharp!" I mumbled to myself.
I looked forward again, and a yelp escaped through my lips. I almost crashed into a food cart but then suddenly, a bright, white light engulfed me. ZAP! Next thing I know, I accidentally fell onto a pile of trash nearby another alleyway. 'What is it with this city?' I thought to myself rubbing my poor head as I looked around to know where we were. I slowly crawled to the place my scooter fell and set my scooter upright and leaned it against the wall while I was still sitting on the ground like a duck.
However, I then noticed the yellow and blue dog or mystic fur ball a few inches from me, shaking himself from any debris that was on him. I think it was somewhat taken aback by the impact we both made when we stumbled across an alley way that it had just tried to teleport to, my scooter too. And let's just say we fell against the building's brick wall, so hard, that I almost got winded by it. I pulled down my mask to get a breather for proper oxygen, panting. I sat up against the wall and felt my head for any major concerns. There were only a few scratches and blood painting my tanned skin, but they weren't much of a concern, so I just left it at that.
"You ought to be careful around these parts of New York, little guy," I said talking to it.
I leaned once again onto the wall and stood up, finally found my footing. I slowly staggered towards it without walking too fast or else my head would have a migraine. I was also looking out for anyone who would bother to ask any question about this embarrassing display, but luckily, no one noticed. Once I reached the fanged dog, I picked it up and patted its yellow and blue furry head, warmly smiling, "And work more on your ability too." I said as it cuddled and rubbed itself to my chest as if it answered my question that he would practice more on it. 'Hmm, does he understand me? I don't care because I could just kiss this little guy like a coyote!' I laughed at my own thoughts, but a loud hasty voice shattered them. I am surprised that we weren't noticed by anyone.
