"Hey old man, so who were you calling before?" Jotaro asked his grandfather.

Joseph folded his hands together on the table when he looked up at his grandson.

"We need to work out a plan that will get us to Egypt safely and quickly before the stand users come after us. That could cost lives and not just ours." he said, a furrow in his brow while he looked upon the group seated at the table.

Avdol narrowed his eyes, looking at the handsome elderly man.

"You're right but... Mr. Joestar, no more innocent people can die because of us. It would be the fastest by plane but we saw how that ended." he said this sternly and everyone slowly nodded in response.

You squeezed your eyes shut, shaking your head slightly when the gruesome images flashed through your mind. The people, the blood, the merciless way that stand user tore them apart as if they were just worthless pieces of meat. It made your stomach churn and the more images appeared behind your eyelids, the more you agreed with what Avdol said.

"Exactly." Joseph replied.

"Not by plane is going to be a trek and a half..." you said under your breath, inwardly praying that you would make it in time to do whatever the fuck you had to save that angel of a woman.

Oh Kujo-san. My beloved Kujo-san.

Jotaro didn't fail to use the opportunity to his advantage and express his feelings about you being there with all of them right now.

"You didn't think about that when you decided to join despite-"

You smacked your hand against his mouth, stopping him mid sentence. There was a prominent furrow in Jotaro's brow when his narrowed eyes flickered over to you. You kept your eyes on his grandfather, a satisfied smirk tugging at the corner of your lips. You nodded your head politely as he spoke, giving him your complete and undivided attention.

"We have to get to Egypt by either land or sea." Joseph announced firmly.

He crossed his beefy-hot- I mean strong arms across his chest. (That doesn't really sound that much better.)

You glanced over at Jotaro and despite his annoyance at you, you could see a small twinkle of excitement in his eyes at the sound of the opportunity to travel on the ocean. God, he was so intimidating, so dangerously hot, and yet adorable all at once.

"Will we be able to find DIO by the time limit that way?" you asked, keeping your hand over Jotaro's mouth.

You wished it could be your lips against his right now instead, but you can't always have what you want.

Avdol let out a disconcerted sigh.

"If we don't Ms. Holly..."

Everyone went silent for a moment, not wanting to acknowledge the risk at hand. Sometimes choosing to ignore the mercilessness of reality was the only way for one to be able to function. Acknowledging the pitiful chances of success would drive anyone mad and ultimately they would lose all motivation to fight.

Your spirits fell immediately. Just like everyone elses. The distractions were necessary, because this reality was a significant amount of levels harsher than what most had to face.

"If we'd been able to stay on that damn plane we would be in Cairo by now." Kakyoin muttered, running his fingers through his silky hair.

You looked down for a second, allowing your hand to drop away from Jotaro's mouth.

"We have to find DIO. Everything will be alright. We will find him no matter what." you said, the comforting meant not just for everyone else but for yourself as well.

Joseph nodded, his eyes scanning the desolate faces of everyone in the group.

"We can easily cover the 10,000 kilometers to Egypt in less than fifty days. Jules Verne's novel proves it after all." he announced.

Even if ignoring that said mercilessness that was reality depended on a novel. He raised his head proudly, looking over at his grandson.

"For the route, I say we take the gamble of traveling by sea."

As Joseph explained the plan while referencing the map he had you couldn't help but notice a rather flamboyant looking fellow standing off to the side. Watching. Could he be more obvious? You narrowed your eyes, not wanting to let him out of your sight.

"The biggest issue we'll be facing during this journey is the Stand users which DIO will be sending after us." Joseph continued, rubbing his beard with his fingers.

The man began to walk towards the group now and in that moment you were rather alarmed.

"The question is, how do we remain undetected."

This time he made eye contact with you, right as he stepped up to the table that all of you were seated at.

"Pardon me."

Oh.

"I am visiting from France and I'm having some difficulty understanding this menu... would you be able to help me by any chance?" the silver-haired man asked politely, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.

Jotaro took no time to think through a nice way of giving his reply to the request.

"Screw off."

He spat the two words making the man flinch as he did. He really gave no shits about how people felt and as much as you hated it, damn it was so attractive when it was him. Joseph scoffed at his grandson's behavior, giving the stranger an apologetic look.

"Oh give him a break Jotaro. I'll help you out, I've been to Hong Kong enough to be able to read the menus. Why don't you join us?"

Jotaro and you both looked over at one another as soon as Joseph made the suggestion. This was not a good idea and that was quite apparent. Usually you'd scold Jotaro for his lack of manners but in this situation with everyone at this table being a target, it was best to remain blunt and skeptical.

Food was brought over after Joseph made his rather large order and the man sat right across from Jotaro and you. Perfect placement for your scrutinizing gaze. You knew he could feel it. His uncomfortable glances which met your perpetual glowering. Keep looking over bitch.

I'm just going to keep staring.

While the others annihilated those plates and marveled over that bussin cuisine, you took small bites, noticing baguette man (nothing against the French, je suis un croissant) his narrowed eyes on his chopsticks which he used to carefully lift up a carrot from his plate. His eyes flickered up to yours and as much as you despised to admit it to yourself, you were the uncomfortable one right now.

"A lot of time was definitely put into the preparation of these meals."

A malicious gleam flashed through his penetrating eyes while he let out a seemingly nonchalant sigh.

"Like these carrots... cut into perfect little stars."

Oh hell no.

His eyes shot over to Jotaro, his menacing gaze flickering down to his neck.

Everyone's eyes widened, and Jotaro and you looked at one another.

Shit was going down again.

Already, and none of you had any fucking clue of what was to come next.
