Seconds of mere fear and confusion went by and now all of you were standing next to the table which was in flames looking at the enemy across the room. The plates had all shattered on the wooden floor and Magician's Red was now face to face with French man's silver stand.

"Pardon my manners, I don't believe I have introduced myself yet... I am Jean Pierre Polnareff."

He introduced himself, his piercing gaze boring into his opponent.

Flames burst into the air from the floor as Avdol stepped up.

"I would be careful if I were you, don't forget that I can control fire."

"I'm not a fan of that ego..."

Every one of you watched, startled as he threw five silver coins into the air and with swift movements that you could barely see, he pierced through all of them. The stand's blade feasibly penetrated them, the sharp silver glistening from the bright fire.

"I think we should check it." he concluded

Jotaro took a closer look.

"His stand cut the flames."

"Ah, at least one in the bunch is intelligent. Your flames are useless against my stand."

No one could refute his smart ass talk in this moment. He wasn't wrong, and Avdol knew that just as much as everyone else.

"So Avdol, you need more space to use your full potential, right? I only play fair game so why don't we take it outside?" Polnareff suggested, his voice as condescending as one could be.

That was never a good sign. You're never as cooked as when an enemy suggests fair game. If he felt like there was a chance at losing he would not make that bargain by any means. Avdol frowned, he must have been thinking the same thing.

"At least he's got some pride..." you muttered.

The silver haired man strolled towards the door, no concern present on his confident expression. It was making everyone in the group nervous, and with no surprise.

The men promptly made their way out of the restaurant, not like they haven't already made a scene. Nothing sketchy about a bunch of buff men standing around and random shit flying around due to invisible forces. It must have looked so silly to people who couldn't see the stands.

"Hey, make sure to stay close by alright?" Kakyoin said to you, giving you a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

You nodded in response. He followed the rest and you were quick to follow but as you managed to take a step forward but your path was quickly hindered.

Jotaro's fingers wrapped around your wrist, the warmth of his touch momentarily spread across your skin, making your heart flutter.

You instantly lost all strength or desire to even attempt to resist his guidance.

Even in this moment where you knew you were just in store for another lecture and bickering, deep down you were willing to go anywhere, as long as it was with him.

The power he held over you, you didn't even know if he was aware of it. Everything could be falling apart around you, but what you felt for him, the sheer depth of it was unfathomable.

He wordlessly led you away, and you just allowed which surprised him. He was expecting the usual fight. You both made your way towards a door at the rear of the restaurant. It was the patio but it seemed everyone chose to eat indoors today.

He turned to face you, sliding his hand down so that now instead of holding your wrist, your hand rested in his.

"And where do you think you're going?" he asked in a low voice, his eyes boring into yours.

You swallowed thickly. There was no use in arguing with him, or even trying to tell him that you wanted to help. You've went over this numerous times and it always ended the same way. His gaze was sharp, in heavy contrast to the tender way his thumb caressed your knuckle.

"Kakyoin told me to stick by him." you replied, but that wasn't a good answer, and most definitely not what Jotaro wanted to hear.

His jaw hardened and turbulence flashed through his narrowed eyes.

Jotaro stepped forward, prompting you to stumble backwards just a bit. He didn't stop moving forward until your back met the brick wall behind you. The blood rushed to your face, making you dizzy as you looked up at him. The close proximity was making it hard for you to catch your breath, and the humiliation came with the fact that your staggered breathing was as clear as day to him.

He didn't free you of his icy stare for even a second.

Your breath hitched in your throat when he ran his hand up your arm, his fingertips brushing against your skin. Your lips parted when he held your face in his palm. You looked to the side before your eyes flickered back to his. His face was closer to yours than before as he leaned over you. His other palm rested against the wall, caging you in with no where left to look other than him, so close to you.

"He can't protect you." he rasped.

He moved even closer to you, his body almost pressed up against yours. Torturously close, that you feared he could feel the pounding of your heart. His breaths quickened, you could see that the way the way his chest moved shifted. Your eyes were locked, neither one of you able to look away.

"Not the way I can." he concluded in a voice just above a whisper.

His fingers delicately slid into your hair, slipping behind your head. Your breath was stolen away from you and you couldn't even find the right way to describe the way his touch felt. It was as if... you could feel it with your soul. It was more than just the tangible, you felt his caress, the way he held you with the entirety of you. Physically, and mentally, you were his.

He was so close, so close that your lips were almost touching. Your eyes didn't waver, nor did his. The only thing that shifted was the raw emotion consuming the two of you.

"He can't? Or you just don't want him to?" you uttered those words, your lips almost brushing over his with every syllable.

They slipped out without you even being able to think about it first.

He didn't answer with words.

"Jotaro..."

He didn't allow you to say anything more than gasp out his name before his lips met yours.
