Quinn and Santana walked through their small town before coming to a stop at a small opened path. They waited for a couple of minutes until they saw Finn and Puck walking toward them. The four of them each exchanged a smile before they continued down a path.
The group were in their school uniforms, and along the way to school, they were passed by various cars headed to the bridge. Multiple other students walked along the path, each one looking more depressed than the last. It was an extremely long walk, so by the time the students got to school, no one was interested in learning.
The giant academy peered over the trees and the four teenagers smiled with delight. Unlike everyone else who walked, they absolutely loved it. Just the view of the academy was enough to brighten your mood for a whole week.
As they reached the bottom of the bridge the teens stopped in their tracks. A car started driving past, but before they got too far out of reach, each one of the kids grabbed onto the back of the car, and stood proud overlooking the roof of the car. The driver hadn't seemed to notice, because they kept driving. Before the teens knew it, the car had teleported to the entrance of the school.
Before the driver or the student noticed, they quickly jumped down and headed inside.
"How long before they find out we do that?" Santana chuckled.
"I'd say not for a while. They're not exactly observant," Quinn said.
The teens walked through the corridors of the school and found their classroom. There was a giant cauldron in the center of the room, with tables and chairs spread evenly around it.
"Oh snap! We get to make potions today!" Puck squealed from excitement.
A small brunette walked into the classroom and groaned out of pure frustration when she saw who she was sharing a class with. The girl took her seat and refused to make any form of eye contact with her classmates.
"What's your deal, Rach?" Finn asked.
Rachel didn't look, but she did clear her throat.
"Just don't want this lesson to be interrupted by you guys again," She said.
"We've never even been a burden in this class?" Quinn replied.
The group all stood eyeing Rachel.
"Yeah!" Puck defended himself.
Rachel rolled her eyes and folded her arms. "No, but you have been in all the other classes."
Santana jokingly raised a hand in the air, "Well, i here by declare we won't be any more trouble for you," She said.
"Right..." Rachel bitterly said.
The class was like no other. The professor let the students mix whatever they felt like in the cauldron. Even if it blew up and burnt their eyebrows off, she found it absolutely entertaining. In some instances the professor did have to step in to prevent the school and everyone inside of it being blown up.
Just before Quinn, Santana, Finn, and Puck were about to be called, a very large red orb appeared in the classroom. The head master of the school looked the group directly in their eyes.
"You four, my office, NOW," She firmly said.
The quaternion nervously looked to one another before slowly rising to their feet. Their professor lowered her head to the ground. She knew exactly what they were going to the office for.
As soon as they made it into the hallway, their minds flooded with questions, and each one, Quinn wasn't able to answer.
They made it to the office and gave a small knock on the door. A woman called out and the door swung open with no one behind it.
The students walked into the room and anxiously waited for their head master to speak.
"Mrs. Lynn-"
"What do you think you were doing yesterday?!" She shouted. "Using magic outside of school grounds? You know that's against the law!"
"We didn't!" Santana lied.
Mrs. Lynn raised both eyebrows and gave Santana a look as to say 'Seriously?!'
"Someone saw yous, and they noticed your school uniform and quickly informed me. They didn't have any information on your names, but i didn't have to ask to know that it was you four," Mrs. Lynn scowled.
The group defeatedly looked at Mrs. Lynn. There was no getting out of this.
"What's going to happen?" Finn asked.
Mrs. Lynn sighed and leaned back in her chair while she observed the standing students.
"Yous are expelled, immediately. You're lucky they said they wouldn't go to authorities. You kids could have been prosecuted- even killed! I understand yous were having fun, but the law is the law, and it's a law for a reason. We must obey that, you understand?" Mrs. Lynn informed.
"Wait, Mrs. Lynn, where are we supposed to go to school?" Finn wondered. 'I'm so screwed, the second my parents here about this they're going to murder me!'
Quinn eyed Finn. She understood where he was coming from though. She certainly wasn't off the hook.
Mrs. Lynn shook her head and shrugged. "Yous aren't allowed to go to any new schools. You used magic outside of permitted grounds, therefore you aren't trusted. I understand this is hard to hear, and i understand it'll be much harder for your parents to hear. But i wish the four of you the best, i seriously do," She said.
Suddenly, everything came crashing down on the students. They were officially expelled from the highest school in their kingdom! They depressingly thanked Mrs. Lynn and walked out of her office. The second the doors shut behind them, they burst into tears.
How could they possibly tell their parents this?
They profusely wiped their tears away, but they just kept on coming. Puck had an actual waterfall falling from his eyes.
"We seriously messed up, huh?" Finn wiped his cheek with his hand.
"A-apparently so," Quinn hiccupped.
"I hate life," Santana cried.
"Me too!" Puck cried with Santana.
It took a while, but the quaternion had finally collected themselves. They walked down the long bridge and they walked through the wooded path.
Each student contemplating on whether or not actually telling their parents about the horrible news.
When the time came, they all separated.
Quinn took a deep breath as she braced herself to walk inside her house. When she did she heard her mother scream at the top of her lungs. Quinn ran further into the house, making her way onto the second floor where she saw her mother screaming while throwing objects around in the house, trying to find a weapon.
"Mum, what are you doing?" Quinn asked, trying to dodge flying objects.
Her mother squeaked then looked up to see her daughter standing by a doorway.
"Oh, it's just you. I thought someone was breaking into the house," Her mother nervously smiled, then it quickly dropped. "Why aren't you at school?"
Quinn bit her lower lip as she looked down to the ground. "I did a bad thing yesterday, mum."
Her mother walked over to her and placed a finger under her chin as she gently lifted her head up so she could look her daughter in the eye.
"What happened?" She protectively asked.
"I used my magic outside of school grounds.... But i do that everyday with my telepathy, so i don't know why-"
Quinn was quickly shushed by her mother.
"They don't know about your telepathy, Quinn, and they're never going to know."
Quinn slowly nodded, tears starting to well up in her eyes again. Mrs. Fabray brought her in for a hug and kissed her daughter on the head.
"Everything will be okay. It's happened, and we can't change that without their being consequences. We'll figure everything out, okay?" She said. "But if it really does mean a lot to you, I'll speak to the school board."
Unlike Quinn, her friends were being scolded to the bone by their parents. They weren't only disappointed their kids were expelled, BY THE HIGHEST RANKED ACADEMY IN THE KINGDOM, but also because they broke the law.
And news was bound to spread sooner or later.
