"YOU EXPELLED MY DAUGHTER?!" A man shouted at Mrs. Lynn.
All of Quinn's, Santana's, Finn's, and Puck's parents were currently going off at Mrs. Lynn about their kids'.
Mrs. Lynn remained calm and composed. This clearly wasn't the first time a parent has come storming into her office.
"Mr. Lopez, i'm just following the law," She said.
Mr. Lopez's face was a deep shade of red as he angrily clenched his fists together. Mrs. Lopez had to jump in real quick and hold onto her husband before he killed Mrs. Lynn.
"Look, we get you're following the law, but isn't there something you can do? We can't exactly move to a whole different kingdom and hope for the best there," Mrs. Fabray questioned.
Mr. Fabray furiously nodded.
Mrs. Lynn sighed and shook her head. All the parents threw their heads back out of frustration. Each one of them were about to gouge their eyes out they were so angry.
"Look, i love your children, i really do, but if i break the law just for them, then i face harsh punishments too.-"
"What if we erase that persons memory about ever seeing the children use their magic?" Mrs. Hudson stepped forward.
"Yeah! I mean, if we do that, then our kids can continue to get an education," Mr. Puckerman said.
Mrs. Lynn looked down to her desk then back up to the parents. She raised a hand to shush the parents, and after a few seconds, the room fell quiet.
"That wouldn't work, because it's not just them who knows about the incident. It's the whole school! The only way they'd ever be able to attend Green Meadow Academy again, is if they talk to the leaderboard, even then it's a very slim chance, because if they don't see any potential in your children, then they're going to turn a cold eye on them. But if they do, then they'll have to face several challenges, and as awful as this sounds, but i don't think your kids are ready to take on something like that. Which is why, you need to think about a different education source for them," Mrs. Lynn said.
Without hesitation, Mr. Fabray perked up and gave Mrs. Lynn an offended glare.
"You don't think my daughter is up for the challenge? You don't think any of these children can do it? Get in contact with that leaderboard Carla Lynn," He sneered.
Mrs. Lynn held back on correcting Mr. Fabray, and instead, nodded and apologetically looked to each parent.
"I'll do what i can. But i can't make any promises. I'll get back to you as soon as the leaderboard gets back to me," She said.
Relieved smiles formed on the parents' faces. Although their children haven't been officially accepted yet, they felt at ease knowing there was a chance they could be. Each parent thanked Mrs. Lynn with all their heart.
"We'll be seeing ourselves out now. Thank you," Mrs. Puckerman said.
Mrs. Lynn didn't say anything. She watched as the parents' left her office.
When the adults walked into the corridor, they were shocked to see their children all piled on the floor. Clearly they were eavesdropping, and their retreat didn't work out so smoothly.
Quinn, Santana, Finn, and Puck all shyly rose to their feet and nervously looked at their parents, waiting to hear about the news.
"It's a waiting process," Mrs. Fabray sighed.
"We're really sorry," Finn lowered his head.
His mother brought him in for an embrace. "This isn't your fault, this isn't any of your fault. You're just kids who were trying to have fun."
"And rightfully so, it backfired. You know the rules, kids!" Mr. Puckerman shook his head.
Every family went their separate ways. Although disappointed in their children, there really wasn't anything they could do about the situation. It happened, and their kids are paying the consequences. One way or another, they were bound to get caught, and they can only imagine what would've happened had they been elsewhere using their powers.
The evening was quiet. None of the children knew what to say to their parents. 'Thank you'? They can only say that so many times before their parents' get angry and scold them further.
"How long do we have to wait?" Santana asked her mother.
Mrs. Lopez shrugged. "A night. Maybe two? I couldn't tell you, i'm sorry."
"We were eavesdropping mum," Santana lowered her head in shame.
Mrs. Lopez laughed, she was well aware her daughter and her friends were eavesdropping. Mrs. Lopez took a seat next to Santana.
"I know, and that's alright. You were just curious," She said.
Santana nodded, "I know. Do you think we'll be accepted by the leaderboard?"
Mrs. Lopez enthusiastically smiled and ruffled up her daughters hair.
"Who wouldn't accept you?"
Santana rolled her eyes and grunted. "Lots of people."
Mrs. Lopez observed her daughter briefly before standing. She gave Santana a small nod and a half smile.
"Let's not doubt ourselves, yeah? They'll see just how much potential you and your friends have, and then they'll be accepting yous straight away," Mrs. Lopez said._____
Five days passed, and now the Fabray family, the Lopez family, the Hudson family, and the Puckerman family were standing in a courtroom. There were three judges, and they all looked as stern as the last.
Quinn, Santana, Finn, and Puck all stood nervously. They'd never been in a room with such high people before.
The parents' all stood behind their children.
Mrs. Lynn was off to the side, trying to keep her cool too.
Occasionally a student would look to their headmaster and when they did, she'd give them a small thumbs up.
"Yous are here today for the illegal use of magic, that is correct?" The middle judge asked.
"Y-yes your honor," Quinn said.
"And you're aware that the outcome of that will affect your future?"
"Yes," All the children said in unison.
The judge to the left cleared his throat. "If you're aware of the consequences, then why'd you proceed to perform such an illegal act?"
All the children glanced to Mrs. Lynn for help, but she just nodded her head and encouraged them to speak.
"We just wanted extra training," Santana said.
"Extra training? You couldn't of done that on school grounds?" The judge to the right asked.
"We can't. We've been banned from the training room," Finn said.
This sparked an interest in the middle judge's eye.
"Why's that?" He asked.
"We weren't using the space as fairly," Puck informed.
"And why do you want to go back to Green Meadow Academy?" The middle judge wondered.
"B-because that's where our home is. It's not just a place to learn, but it's a place to grow wonderful memories," Quinn said.
'Pathetic! These kids don't deserve a second chance. Throw them in the ditch!' The right judge thought.
Quinn glanced over to him, then to the left judge who had similar thoughts.
'These children are nothing but selfish brats.'
Quinn then glanced to the middle judge.
'It's a no go. They wouldn't survive the test anyway.'
Quinn anxiously sweated from her temples. The judges weren't going to give them a second chance!
'Think Quinn, think Quinn,' The young girl shut her eyes as she used her telepathy to communicate with the middle judge.
'Give them a second chance. Deep down you know they can do the challenge,' Quinn thought.
'No! Where did that thought even come from?!' The judge angrily thought.
"A-anyway, we're going to have a small chat to decide your children's fate," The middle judge said.
The trio huddled together and whispered slightly loud.
'Give them a chance. If you don't then you're forcing four families to move to a different kingdom. Putting a bad name on yourself,' Quinn thought.
Instantly, the middle judge turned around, desperate to get the uninvited thoughts out of his head.
"Okay! We'll give them a second chance. But if they fail, they're out. Got that?"
Everyone smiled widely and thanked the judge. The other two judges were left completely in shock. This wasn't what they were agreeing on.
"Your challenge starts tomorrow morning. Now get out of the room," He defeatedly said.
The families excitedly left and each gave Quinn a small grin. Without a doubt, they knew she had something to do with the judge's sudden outburst. There weren't many people who knew about Quinn's telepathy, but those who did, were really glad about her using it for once.
