The next morning, at the arena Hiccup and Astrid, are taking their final test to see who will get to kill a dragon in front of the whole village. The dragon they are facing this time is a Gronckle.
“Hey uhh good luck and try to stay out of my way, "Astrid said adding the last part as a joke, but Hiccup took it seriously making Hela who was watching facepalm.
“You got it, Astrid,” A random Viking said somewhere next to Hela.
Astrid took a deep breath and jumped over the obstacle she was hiding behind with a war cry her dull axe held high in her hand only to see the Gronckle on the ground with Hiccup standing beside it making her sigh since she wanted to prevent Hiccup from the choice of killing a dragon. She looked up at Hela who was deep in thought while the crowd cheered.
“So later,” Hiccup says as he tries to leave but Gobber pulls him back by the collar.
“Not so fast”
“I'm kinda late for– – " Hiccup starts but is cut off by Stoick's voice.
“Okay, quiet down. The Elder has decided” Stoick says as Guthy walks forward. Gobber points to Astrid and Guthy shakes her head no, Gobber then points to Hiccup and she nods yes making the crowd cheer again.
"You've done it! You've done it, Hiccup! You get to kill the dragon” Gobber yells in excitement.
“Ha, Ha! That's my boy” Stoick says proudly.
“Heh. Oh yeah! Yes! I can't wait. I am so...

... LEAVING! We're leaving. Let's pack up. Looks like you and I are taking a little vacation, forever” Hiccup says only to hear a bark to his right scaring the shit out of him only to see Fenrir standing on the bolder,
“Oh thank Thor! It's just you Fenrir, don't do that” he says as he pets him on the head before realizing something, "wait if you're here then where's my sister”
“I'm right here baby brother,” Hela says behind him.
"AHHH! Oh for the love of- are you two trying to give me a heart attack?” Hiccup asks, Toothless making laughing noises in the background.
"I wouldn't dream of it baby brother I just like messing with you. You make the most interesting expressions.” Hela tells him as she raffles his hair. Hiccups smile as he fixes his hair before his mind goes back to his final exam tomorrow.
"What am I gonna do Hela? My final exams tomorrow, dad and everyone in the village will be expecting me to kill that dragon, and I-“ He rambles as he paces back and forth making Hela sigh.
"Alright calm down,” Hela says and Hiccup shuts up,” We'll think of something and come up with a plan but right now I want you and Toothless to go on a flight and relax, alright"
“Okay,” Hiccup says as he gets on Toothless. Hela walks over to them.
“Don't take too long” She tells them before looking at Toothless,” and take care of him for me ok?” Toothless nods before taking off. Hela sits down on a bolder as Fenrir walks over to her before licking her palm with a whine asking if she's ok making Hela smile.
“I'm ok buddy just have a lot on my mind”, She tells him, Fenrir jumps on the bolder lays down next to her with his head on her lap, and Hela starts stroking his fur.
(Time skip)
Hiccup and Toothless come back a few hours later with Hiccup looking distressed as he dismounts from Toothless quickly. He sees Hela walking towards him followed by Astrid making him frown confused.
