(Kate's POV)

"We've located the other demigod, Mianite." The General said. I looked towards Mianite, who looked pleased.

"Excellent work General Eugene." Mianite boomed. Mianite stood and the room fell quiet.

"We found him!" Mianite shouted to the assembly in his dining hall. The hall erupted in cheering.

Mianite allowed them to cheer for a couple seconds then raised his hand for silence.

"Remember, Order. Order is what we aspire for, it is what Dianite seeks to destroy, and Ianite refuses to uphold. With both demigods in our possession, Order will be within our grasp!" Mianite exclaimed. The crowd exploded into cheering again. Mianite turned right, looking at me.

"Kate, you will have the honor of bringing the demigod to me." He said.

I bowed deeply.

"Thank you, Mianite. I won't fail you." Mianite smiled.

"I'm sure you won't. Your quarry will be well protected. Ianite herself will be watching him closely. I will give you the means to incapacitate her before you leave. The bigger problem is Case, Ianite's Priest. Currently, he's mediocre with swords and decent with bows. However, he is loyal to the core to Ianite, I suspect that he would rather die than fail her." I nodded.

"For now, you will be spying on them. Find their weaknesses, assess their strengths, and, if possible, find Ianite." Mianite said.

"I have an informant in place already, he will help you adjust to your new surroundings. His name is Manic, and he's a former pirate. Tell him anything you learn and he'll tell me. Wait for my message before we try to capture the demigod." Mianite explained.

"Suit up, you'll be leaving tomorrow morning." Mianite commanded. I nodded. "I'll be off then." I said. Mianite nodded and I left. I went to my room and gathered my gear, readying myself for the task ahead.....

The Next Day.....

I stood in the stables of Mianite's fortress, the sun was just beginning to to peek over the horizon. The stable hand brought me a brilliant white steed, already ready to ride. I tied my packs onto the saddle, my armor glinting in the morning light. I lifted my sword onto the horse and secured it to the saddlebags. I mounted the horse in one fluid motion.

"Lady Kate!" I heard someone shout. I looked over and saw a messenger approaching with a leather sack.

"Mianite told me to give this to you." I grabbed the bag and opened it. Inside was a strange black orb, about the size of an apple.

"What is it?" I asked. The messenger smiled and said, "Anti-balance. If this gets near Ianite, she'll be weakened. If it breaks near her.... Well, I wouldn't want to be her." I strapped the bag the saddle.

"Thanks, I'll be off then."

Without waiting for a reply, I kicked my horse and galloped towards my target.....
