(Ianite's POV)

Moments after Ianite's arrival......

I swung my swords viscously at Mianite. He had come to steal my son, the same way he had stolen Sylvia. I felt my rage rekindle at that thought.

'You will NOT take him, too.' I threw a punch and heard it connect with Mianite's face. With a roar of pain, Mianite took a cheap shot and stabbed my foot. I leapt backwards, looking to my champion.

"Cover me." I asked. My loyal champion threw himself between me and my brother. I raised my arms and began the incantation that would summon my Revenge. A storm cloud began forming and the purple lightning opened the Gateway.
She leapt out, immediately singling out Mianite, and charged him. Within moments, my brother lay before her, her blade held against his throat.

"Kate, now would be a great time to help." My brother said cautiously. I looked to who he was talking to and fell to my knees. My champion and my son rushed to my aid.

"Sylvia?" I watched as she lowered the Anti-Matter orb, no doubt made of her essence, and stare at me.

"I am not..." She murmured, then collapsed. She clutched her head in her hands.
"You idiot! You ruined YEARS of brainwashing!" Mianite shouted. He ripped the orb from Sylvia's hands and flung it directly at me. I knew what that would do to me, and I knew that I couldn't stop what was about to happen. I sent a message to Dianite, asking for assistance.

'Now they have a chance.' I thought.

'Now, for my final gift.' I closed my eyes and focused on my Quintessence. I felt it split from two pieces to four, and then I sent the two new pieces to Case and Braxton.

'I'm sorry I can help more.' I thought sadly. Then, the orb smashed into my chest. There was a sudden excruciating pain as my Quintessence was weakened. Then, there was only darkness......

(Case's POV)

I had never seen Dianite in person before now. He usually stayed in the Nether, where he belonged, in Exile. I had never imagined that he would look like this. Dianite looked like a normal depiction of a demon. Horns, black hair, red skin, but he was wearing a business suit.

"You have no business here, Dianite." I said coldly. I started towards Ianite.

"She is beyond your help now." Dianite told me. I froze.

"What does that mean?" I demanded.

"She is beyond your help now." He repeated.

"I am her Priest, if-" I started angrily.

"Silence, child." Dianite said angrily. "Maybe I'll just leave and let you all die!" He spat.

"You can't." Braxton said, realization dawning in his eyes.

"Who are you to say that I can't leave, former Nether Lord?" Dianite demanded.

"You need her alive, that's why you're here." Braxton said ignoring Dianite's taunt. Dianite grimaced.

"Yes, that's why I'm here. If she dies, Mianite will become too powerful and I can't stop him from destroying me." Dianite admitted.

"So, let's make a deal." Dianite said, all business again.

"I want to live, you want her to live. Sounds about fair. But I want something from you." Dianite negotiated. "I want Braxton and I to have a rematch, sometime in the future." I looked over at Braxton, who grinned. He walked over and shook Dianite's hand.

"You've got yourself a rematch. Now, what do we do about my mother?"
"I can open a portal to another realm. You won't be safe from Mianite forever, but it should buy you time, which you sorely need." Dianite explained.
