(Case's POV)

A crack of thunder woke me from my sleep. I stood up and peered out the window. Rain was streaking down from the sky. I returned to my bed, yawning, and climbed into the blanket. I laid there, listening to the pitter-patter of rain and the occasional boom of thunder. Eventually, I fell asleep.....
In my dream, I was standing in front of my house. Suddenly, a portal appeared and Dianite came through. Simultaneously, Mianite rode into the clearing. They were both joined by their armies.

"Get the demigod!" Mianite shouted.

"He's mine!" Dianite yelled. Both armies charged.

"This won't be pretty." Ianite's voice said next to me. Surprised, I looked around and realized both Ianite and Braxton stood near me. Two hooded figures stood behind us. I recognized one as Bridger, but couldn't really see the other. A veil of darkness obscured everything about the person.
"We must stop them." Ianite said. We nodded, and me and Braxton charged into battle alongside our goddess. Me and Ianite helped Braxton whenever he needed protection, but he was far more capable than I was with a sword, so he rarely needed assistance. Ianite's blade was a blur, slicing through enemies like wheat. I parried a blow, narrowly avoiding being beheaded, and counterattacked.....
I woke with a start when I heard the door slam and a feminine voice call, "Hello?"
"Are you kidding me? This is happening again?" I muttered, grabbing my rapier and robe. I strolled down the stairs, pulling my robe on, and stopped in my tracks.
Standing in our foyer was a girl with white skin and purple hair. She had a pink headband in her hair, and violet eyes that sparkled like stars. She was wearing a brown travel cloak. As she removed it, I saw she was wearing a light purple dress that ended just above her knees. The dress had long sleeves that went to her wrists. The edge of the sleeves were a dark purple. Over her dress, she wore a dark purple cardigan. The cardigan had golden hems and some gold designs on the sleeves, which ended near her elbows. She wore a necklace made of a thin gold chain with a dazzling purple gem inlaid in it.
"Hi." Her singsong voice snapped me back to reality. I bowed.

"H-hello." I stammered, straightening up again.

"What are you doing out in a storm like this?" I asked.

She smiled, "I'm, sort of, looking for someone."
"Who?" I asked, "If they live around here, I probably know them."

The girl thought for a moment and said, "I believe his name was, Case?" I smiled broadly.

"You've found him. Why were you looking for me?" I asked.

"She said you could protect me." She said, looking relieved.

"Who said I could protect you from what?" I inquired, confused.

"Ianite said you could protect me from her brothers." She explained.
"I'd love to help, but can you prove Ianite sent you?" I asked. The girl smiled.

"Ianite figured you might be cautious, here." She replied, handing me a bottle. I immediately realized what she had handed me. It was message bottle. They carried an echo of a voice and couldn't be faked. I opened the bottle and Ianite's voice filled the room.
"Hello Case, I've sent her to you because I know I can trust you. I'll let her explain further, but please protect her to the best of your abilities. Be prepared."
The message ended and the bottle disappeared.

"Alrighty then. Welcome to my home. What's your name?" I asked.

She looked at me and said, "My name is Ianita, I am Ianite's daughter....."
