"PRINCE AEMOND TARGARYEN," THE GUARD outside the Queen's chambers shouted as they opened the door. Alicent stood up looking hopeful while Aegon looked at the door sharply, they waited for the guard to say Rhaenyra's name but it did not come. Perhaps, she had been put away into her new room, but they glanced at the soaked Aemond who looked angry yet solemnly at them, they knew that she had left.

Alicent couldn't help but feel betrayed in some way, was she not enough? Did she have to be stricter with Rhaenyra? No, she had to stop thinking like this, Rhaenyra needed her family, she needed to support her own children. Alicent kept forgetting that she had children of her own, and that she was a mother not just a little sister for her children to look after.

She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Aegon's cup slam on the marble table, "why? Why does she constantly do this? Why run off when we could take care of her!" He shouts in frustration.

Alicent stays silent but Helaena spoke up and said exactly what she was thinking, "because we forget that she has a Husband and children on her own, brother." Eyes glance at the girl who's always in her dreams, "don't worry, she will come back." She says nodding before continuing her sewing, but they all noticed a frown gracing her features and they didn't like it, they knew, they all knew something bad was to come.

Aemond was about to speak when a maid knocks on the door before the guard lets her in, the greens look at her. "Sorry to bother you, your Grace, but the King has requested your presence." She says firmly not letting any emotions deep through.

"Alright," she says before turning around and looking at each one of them. "Don't do anything stupid," it was mostly directed to Aegon and Aemond.

She walks out of her chambers with Ser Criston behind her, trailing after her like a lost puppy. She had marched her way anxiously to the King's chambers only for a Maester to look somber at her, her heart almost fell to her stomach. "The King is waiting for you, my Queen." He says with a small bow.

Alicent walked inside leaving the two men standing outside as she trailed over to the bed where her dying husband was. She reached him and sat on the other side of the bed and gave his shoulder a gentle squeeze, he coughs and splutters before whispering, "Alicent?"

"Yes, my King, tis me." She whispers back placing a kiss upon his head.

"My time is coming to an....end!" He forces out before letting out another cough, "Rhaen – Rhaenyra is the only one...who can...bring this family together again....I've seen it!" He says reaching to give her hand a weak squeeze, "you all love her....and she needs you...I have seen the longing look within her eyes....she cannot rule alone."

"And she won't." Alicent mutters.

Viserys smiles weakly, "good. She needs help with her duties.....and I trust you'll train her?" Alicent mumbles a yes, "I-I" he coughs, "I'm glad. She's the one who sits the throne, p-protect her." He trails off as his breathing becomes even along with wheezes each now and then.

"I promise, I will, she shall never be alone again, ever." She says to the King placing another kiss to his forehead.

She got up from the bed and headed back to the door, looking at her husband one last time that night before leaving. She headed to her chambers to find her children gone, but Rhaenyra was stuck on her mind. She had began to change into her nightgown and wrapped her robe around her securely, looking over at the glass window that had curtains hiding the moonlights out of the room.

She had rested herself on her bed with a sad smile upon her face, she couldn't thinking about all the times she had tried to ruin her friend's reputation and her sons too, she had to make it up to her. She just had to, she'd broken her promise to Queen Aemma to take care of Rhaenyra, she was now going to do that. She had remembered when the idea of regression came to her head, her children were excited as they've never seen it happen before. She remembers when they finally looked happy about taking care of the Princess who'd been put through so much. They wanted to take back everything they've done and start anew with their sister.

Alicent sighs as she climbed into her bed, pulling the sheets over her, she closes her eyes and wishes things would just go the way they're meant to be.

"Your Grace!" A maid gently shakes Alicent awake, the Queen sat up and looked at the girl who's tears fell down her cheeks. "The King's dead."

Alicent sat for a moment, tears made their way down her cheeks. Poor Rhaenyra, her little Rhaenyra, she didn't know, and now she was going to have to take over King's Landing when so much was going on with her. She froze though, she looked at her maid, "does my father know?"

"Yes, my Queen." No. This could not be happening, her father hadn't known about them doing things differently with Rhaenyra, he wanted her son; Aegon upon the throne.

"Alright, thank you, Irene." She mumbles as the maid hurries herself out, no doubt to tell the guards that guarded her children's chambers.

She had to stop her father before it was too late, before he ruined everything that they've built with Rhaenyra so far. He was going to take away everything like he always has, he was the one that told the Maesters to kill Queen Aemma so that she could descend the throne, he was the one that sold his daughter into this relationship to be raped every night when the king summoned her. She was happy he was dead, but she was saddened for Rhaenyra the Princess who loved her father dearly.
