"Jesse fucking Lee Soffer! Where the fuck are you?" Arielle had screamed as soon as she reached his house.
"What?" a small voice came from underneath a pile of blankets on the couch; his head poking out. Arielle looked at his pale face and almost immediately ran over to him but stood there, glaring at him.
"You're sick!" she had acknowledged as a matter-of-fact. Just as he opens his mouth to explain, she silences him. "And I, your best fucking friend finds it out from the Internet!" she had added, recalling the post she had seen.

She was of course shocked, they just had their every thursday night dinner yesterday! so seeing that he was sick had her flabbergasted. She glanced at Jesse again, who was watching her. She rubbed her temples sighing as she walked over to sit on the edge of the couch.
"Did you take your meds? Have you drank any water? What about food? What about soups? Did you have those? Did you even sleep? Is it the flu? Cough? Do you have a fever? No maybe it is food poisoning? Or maybe you're preg-" she had immediately face-palmed herself on what she was about to say but by the look on Jesse's face, he had heard her.
"Yeah, Arielle. I am pregnant." he had replied with a small smirk on his face. Arielle laughed it off and rolled her eyes. "So......?" she had asked, after a moment of silence.
He looked at her, almost as if he's asking what?. "The 'meds' part? Did you take them?" she had stated to which he just mumbled a small 'yeah'.
"Okay so what do you need?" she had asked again, upon realising that she was in fact doing nothing to help him. "Lay with me." he had replied in a croaky voice. "La-lay with you?" Arielle responded in a thick voice, where he hummed in response. She looked at him like he was crazy; he definitely was but her features softened on realising that he was still sick.
She didn't even think about it before muttering, "Okay but if I get sick, you're going to wish you never even met me." His eyes twinkle at her response; not expecting her to actually do it as a small grin laid on his lips.
Milliseconds turn into seconds; then into minutes when she slowly realized that she had no blanket. Her right side was completely frozen as cold air kept hitting it; small gasps escaping her mouth every now and then. "Share the blanket with me, you blanket-hogger." she had yelled in frustration after continous tugging of the blanket.
"Come closer then." he had replied curtly. She let out a huff but compiled still and moved towards him. Her body froze completely when she felt a arm snaking around her waist, pulling her closer to his body.
Before she could acknowledge what was happening, he whispered slowly into her ears," Relax and sleep." As if her body needed a order, all her muscles relaxed. She let out a relaxed sigh and snuggled her body into his, and slowly fluttered her eyes shut.
Here she was cuddling Jesse, her back pressed against his abdomen; his head buried into her neck as they fell asleep.
