𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 have been much better since your talk with Bakugou. Your relationship has improved, and he's gotten a lot more comfortable around you. You enjoy it, despite how crude he can be.
You're still struggling to completely gain his trust, though. But you know you'll get there eventually. It's just a bit of a learning curve.
One afternoon, the secretary is out on break, and Bakugou's in a meeting. You need to email yourself some things- some important events in the future on the calendar so you can remind yourself, so you're at her desk, using her computer to do so.
Out of nowhere, a woman busted through the front doors, storming up to the front desk. "Where is Katsuki?"
You do a double take, realizing that it's Camie Utsushimi, his fiancé. And she did not look happy.
"Uh, he's in a meeting right now. I can give him a message if you want?" You offered, but she wasn't appeased.
"Who are you? Where's Hanako?" She looked you up and down judgmentally, sizing you up. "I'm _____, Bakugou's personal assistant, and Hanako-"
"Ohh, right. The assistant." She repeated, cutting you off. "So he's in the conference room, right?"
"Yeah, but I wouldn't go in there. The meeting is really important." You told her, trying to stop her. You failed, and she continued to walk past you, not even phased by what you just said.
"If it's that important, he'd text me." Was all she responded with. You chased after her, trying to stop her, but just before you could reach her, she was at the door to the conference room, pulling it open. "We need to talk."
--
You're horrified. Bakugou's bound to be pissed with you for letting her in, but what else could you do? It's not like she was listening, and you had no idea how else to stop her.
It wasn't like you could call security or restrain her either. She's his fiancé, for crying out loud! So what do you do in situations like this?
You find yourself hiding in the break room away from your boss and the embarrassment you just experienced. You feel so flustered and humiliated. How could you let her walk all over you?
Shakily, you reached over for the coffee, taking a deep breath. "Had to deal with Hurricane Camie for the first time, huh?"
A voice called out. You look over your shoulder, seeing a brunette man standing behind you. Confused by his words, you murmur a small, "what?"
"Hurricane Camie. That's what I call it whenever she comes barging into the office and demands Bakugou drops everything to talk to her." He said with a grin, making your jaw drop.
"Wait, this is an ordinary thing?" You asked, your jaw dropped. He nodded, amused by your shock. "If I did this at my old job, my bosses would've killed me!"
"Yeah, but she's engaged to the boss, so she thinks she can do whatever she wants, no matter how disruptive it is." He remarked. You giggled. "Fair point."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Ken. I work on Bakugou's PR team. You're his new assistant, right? Bless your heart." He said, making you laugh more.
"It's nice to meet you, and yeah, I am. I feel bad for you too though. I've sat in on a few of the meetings he has with the PR team and things can get pretty...heated." You replied.
"Yeah, Bakugou's a good guy, but he can be extremely stubborn." He told you. You nodded in agreement, picking up your mug and taking a sip.
You know exactly what he means. You can tell Bakugo the sky is blue, and he'll insist it's purple. He follows his beliefs to a T, and once his mind is set on something, it's nearly impossible to change it.
That's why he and Camie are practically perfect together. They're both strong-willed people, after all.
"Would you mind if I sat with you during lunch break? I normally eat lunch by myself or with Bakugou, but Camie's been talking with him for the past hour and a half, and it doesn't look like she'll be leaving anytime soon." You couldn't help but ask.
"Sure. I don't mind." Ken shrugged with a grin. You smiled back. Seems like you finally made a new friend.
--
After lunch, you came to the horrific realization that you would have to go back to working with Bakugou, despite the previous events of the day. You feel so humiliated already, and you know what he has to say next will only make it worse.
Before you get the chance to run out the door, Bakugou called out to you, telling you to come to his office. Taking a shaky breath, you reluctantly obeyed.
You stood there awkwardly, while Bakugou was seated at his desk. "Take a seat."
You did as told, sitting right across from him. You couldn't help but fidget anxiously, trying to find the right words. Right before you could, he spoke first.
"Sorry about before...I know Camie can come off a bit strong, and it can be very overwhelming, especially when she comes in unexpectedly, and I should've let you know sooner." He's apologizing? Wow. You didn't expect that.
"Oh, no. It's okay. It was just a bit unexpected." You replied with a shrug.
"Yeah, I know, it's just I got a lot of stuff going on with work, but she wants to do wedding planning, and it's hard to find times where we're both free due to how filled our schedules are. So, when she has the chance, I let her come in and discuss some stuff with me. But if I have something really important happening, I let her know in advance. Does that make sense?" He explained.
"Uh, yeah." It makes sense, but it's definitely a little weird.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" He remarked noticing the expression on your face. "Looking at you like what?"
You replied cluelessly. He sighed, pinching his brow. "Look, I know it's weird, and it's fine if you don't understand it. But just, promise me we're on the same page here."
"We are." You nodded. "Okay good."
Taking a deep breath, Bakugou glances at his watch, before looking back at you. "Well, there's only two hours left on your shift and I'm probably gonna go patrol in thirty minutes or so, so, feel free to leave, or do whatever."
