𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐕𝐄 started to work longer hours recently since it's been the only thing that can truly you. You hate going home and being alone, barely able to call Sakura anymore, and she'll only be busier when she has her kid.

You don't sleep, and when you do, you have nightmares. The only thing that makes you feel okay is work. So you start working an hour later than usual, and one grows into two, two into five, and so on. It's gotten to the point that you've set multiple alarms for yourself to remind yourself to go, and even then, you don't want to.

Last night was no different, with you leaving at three in the morning, tossing and turning and only getting a solid two hours of sleep. You need to find some way to cope, but right now, work is all you have.

That morning, you stepped into the elevator. You're exhausted, but you drank a solid amount of coffee, and have some energy drinks that can help get you through the day.

"Wait!" Someone called out, just before the doors could close. It was Bakugou and his fiancé. Just great.

Despite the temptation to let them shut and pretend like you didn't hear her, you decided to press the "door open" button, letting them join you. Bakugou entered, with Camie practically hanging off his arm.

"Good morning." She chirped. You managed to reply with a small "morning" back.

"Wait a second, you're Katsuki's new PA, right? I'm sorry that we got off the wrong foot. Here, let me start over. I'm Camie Utsushimi, Katsuki's fiancé. And you are?" She held her hand for you to shake. At least she's being friendly.

"______. It's nice to meet you." You gave her a small smile in return, shaking her hand. You glanced over at Bakugou briefly. He didn't say a word.

"Thank you for putting up with him. I'm glad someone can do it. Especially with how grumpy he gets." She pinched his cheek, and he pushed her hand away, telling her to stop. She kissed his cheek instead and started kissing him everywhere.

You looked away, trying to ignore the hot feelings of jealousy and loneliness flowing through you. You fidgeted slightly, staring at the arrow, praying it would get you to your floor faster.

Finally, the bell rang, indicating you reached your floor and you swore if it was a moment later you'd probably wind up jumping down the elevator shaft. You practically sprinted out the doors once they opened, going straight to your desk.

Once again, you threw yourself into your work, where you didn't have to think about anything. No fears, anxieties, or feelings, just work. It was nice.

The hours flew by, and you felt like you were moving in slow motion. You were so sleep-deprived that you barely knew where you were going or what you were doing. Just that you were going through your typical schedule and that's all that mattered.

--

"_______, ________!" Bakugou called, smacking the desk and making you jump awake, lifting your head from the keyboard you had fallen asleep on.

"Hmmm?" You murmured, before managing to open your eyes fully, waking up. Shit, what time is it? How long had you been asleep?

"Did you stay here the whole night?" He asked, concern heavy in his voice. You looked down at your clothes, noticing you hadn't changed, and you grabbed your phone, seeing that it was dead. Your alarm must've not gone off.

"Uh, yeah. I guess I did." He frowned. "My office, now."

You walked into his office nervously, shutting the door behind you. When you turned to face him, he was already sitting at his desk, and he was gesturing for you to take a seat and join him.

"I'm sorr-" You started, but he raised a hand, interrupting you.

"I know we said that we would only worry about ourselves, but this is a lot,  ________. I know you've barely slept, I see all the caffeinated shit you go through every day, and you're moving like a robot. Yesterday, it's like you weren't even there. You barely even responded to anything I said." He told you.

"It's none of your business, Bakugou. I told you, I'm handling it, so back off!" You hissed defensively, unable to stop yourself from snapping.

He was slightly surprised to see you lose your cool, but he didn't waver. "This is your idea of handling it? Because clearly, you're not handling it well."

You groaned, running your hand over your face. You're too tired to fight with him. "What do you want me to do?"

"Take a break. Go home and get some rest. I don't want you back until at least after tomorrow. So I know that you got some rest. And get the help that you need." You knew he had a point there.

"Fine." You huffed, getting to your feet. Bakugou stopped you before you could leave. "There's no way I'm letting you get home by yourself. Let me drive you."

With no fight left, you let Bakugou drive you back to your apartment, even falling asleep during the car ride. He was right. You were in desperate need of a good night's sleep. You were losing it, and you really needed to pull yourself together.

"We're here," Bakugou announced, giving you an extra shake on your shoulder to wake you. You thanked him for the ride and unbuckled your seatbelt. Just as you grabbed the lever to the door, he stopped you again. "I can walk you-"

"You seriously think I can't handle climbing two flights of stairs on my own? I'll be fine, thanks." You remarked.

Bakugou would beg to differ, especially considering how heavy the bags seemed under your eyes, and how exhausted you looked. Sometimes, you seemed like you could barely even stand. He could tell you were very tired and just acting tough.

"Alright, fine." He mumbled, shrugging it off. "Get some rest."

"I will. Thanks for the ride." You turned away, disappearing into the building.

So much for having work for comfort.

A/N: Yeah kind of an angsty chapter..
