Sword of destiny

Chapter 11

They got back to the base, Clara was standing on the steps. Evelyn runs up to her and shows her the sword but then she starts coughing really bad feeling a little dizzy. Noah runs up to her and holds her by the arms
"She drowned and this sword saved her life" Clara walks up to them and takes the sword
"It chose you to be its owner, Evelyn" she gives it back to Evelyn but before it hits her hands Clara saw some writing on the blade
"This sword is called sword of destiny, it belonged to your parents Evelyn" she looks up and stares at Clara for a moment but before she could ask a question she passes out in Noah's arms. Noah walks with Evelyn in his arms to her room where she can rest.
Two days has passed since they got the sword. Evelyn was still sleeping. But one day Sophia was feeding her some medicine she made and Evelyn opens her eyes a little and spoke to Sophia with a faint whisper.
Before she sits all the way up everyone she loves and care about was in the room. Clara come up to her and sits on the bed
"Hey sweet girl" she smiles at Evelyn and pulls her into her arms.
"Hey Miss Clara I'm sorry" she holds Clara for a while
"How many days have I've been out" she looks at everyone with a smile. Then Evelyn notices the sword next to her bed leaning against a Tv stand. Evelyn gets up from her bed and grabs the sword
"The sword feels like it has powers cursing through it into me" Evelyn looks at everyone who was confused then, the sword starts glowing making everyone cover their eyes
"You're not wrong baby girl" Evelyn looks down at the sword for a moment then she puts it down. She then sits back down
"Miss Clara before we went out you said you found a girl" Clara looks away for a moment
"We did some research and she is your sister" Evelyn was quiet for some time. Then Evelyn started to burst into tears
"Does this mean they are alive?" She said between sobs, Noah comes to her side and pulls her into his embrace
"Shhhh I'm here princess" she holds onto him feeling safe in his arms. Clara rubs her back
"Yes, Evelyn your parents must be alive" Evelyn looks up with red puffy eyes. Everyone left except Clara and Noah who were still comforting her. Clara sits down near Evelyn and Noah
"Do you want to meet her?" Evelyn shook her head yes. Clara leads them a dark hallway with only one light hanging above the ceiling. Which leads them to a room. Noah grabs ahold of Evelyn's hand who was shaking knowing her sister is behind this door and they all go into the room with her. Once they enter, the little girl looks up and runs over with a big smile, she looks exactly like me but shorter, she could at least be 6 years old Evelyn thought.
The girl hugs Evelyn tightly around the waist and smiles
"I couldn't wait to meet you mommy told me so much about you" Evelyn got a tear running down her cheek and patted the girls head softly
"It's finally nice to meet you" Evelyn smiles and pulls her away gently and gets on one knee
"I have a serious question for you okay" the little girl nods
"Are our parents still alive?" She says throughout tears. The little girl shakes her head yes but then she gets a sad look
"They asked me to stay with you, they got captured by an evil demon he is very powerful" Evelyn falls on the floor and curls up holding onto her knees. Noah comes to her side, holding her in his arms
"Shy I'm here" Evelyn holds onto him. The little girl comes up and sits next to her without saying a word. She knew she had to act like a grown-up for her sister. To find out why they never came back for her.
A couple of weeks has passed. Evelyn and her sister Ella got closer day by day. Noah and Ethan were coming up with a plan in the meeting room close to the main room of the dorm. Then Clara,Sophia, and Evelyn came in together and sat down in a chair
"So boys how is the homework going" the two girls looked at the boys
"Well it's not going well I'm afraid it might take longer to find Evelyn's parents than we thought" Evelyn sighed and out her head on the table sad
"Well all we can do is train for now" she looked at everyone for a moment. Then Sophia walks over and shakes her head yes and gently pats Evelyn's back. Everyone has been on the edge lately, Evelyn has been training non-stop. Noah  started to get a little worried Evelyn went through a lot already. But all that counted was, Evelyn and her sister Ella got more close. And that made Noah happy. One evening Sophia goes to watch Evelyn train. But when she got there Evelyn was nowhere to be seen. Sophia started to panic and looked everywhere for Evelyn. She went to go get help from her brothers Ethan and Noah. But after many hours of searching, they couldn't find her but then they forgot to look one place her little sisters room. Sophia ran all the way to the room as fast as she could.
Once she got close enough she slowed down and opened the door silently to find both of them sleeping with Evelyn holding a book. Sophia walks in quietly in the room and grabs a blanket from the bed and puts it on them. The next day Evelyn woke up to her own alarm on the phone she felt sore from training so much.
She then looks over to see her sister asleep. Evelyn bends down to kiss her sister on the forehead. Then she gets up to leave her little sister to sleep. Noah is training with his brother Ethan when Sophia walks in with two bottles of water in her hands.
"Hey boys I got you some water"
They both smiled and ran over to her
"Thx Sophia for the water"
She smiles at them. Then Evelyn walks over
"Hey everyone how is training going"
Noah walks over and kisses her forehead
"Good but you worried my sister last night she thought someone took you" she looks over at Sophia with sad eyes
"I'm sorry I made you worry forgive me" Evelyn makes a sad face.
Sophia smiles and walks over to Evelyn
"Yes I forgive you, and from now on call me sis" Evelyn smiles and hugs her tightly
"Thank you, everyone from the bottom of my heart" they all gave her a smile.
