Chapter 3

The next day, Evelyn wakes up to the sound of the ringing alarm to get up for her first day of training. Noah knocks on the door before entering her room. She immediately responds, "come in, it's open." That's when he opens the door in a cute training outfit. This makes her smile a little. "Hey, I just figured out I don't have an outfit for training." He smiles, "well that's what I'm here for! I have your outfit right here." Evelyn smiles, jumps up, and grabs the outfit he had for her. She goes to her small bathroom while Noah sits in her room. A couple of minutes later, she comes out all dressed up and ready to go, to start her first day of training.
Evelyn and Noah hurried to the training room connected to the main entrance. Sophia is standing in the middle of a huge mat and so is an unfamiliar boy she hadn't seen until now.
"Hello miss, I'm Ethan. Their brother" he smiles.
"It's a pleasure to meet you"Sophia walks up to us enthusiastically.
"Today we are gonna show you how we fight and then you will come in and block" Evelyn nods and waits off to the side, Noah takes off his shoes and walks onto the mat. Evelyn goes down to the floor and sits with her legs crossed underneath her. Noah and Ethan grab their weapons. They go to the center of the mat and look at each other for a moment, they both put up their weapons and Ethan comes running forward, he takes one swing at Noah and misses his shot. Noah takes one step back and swings at Ethan but he blocks the swing and grunts in a firm grip, not letting go. That's when Noah moved his right leg and kicks his opponents leg hard making him fall to the ground. Ethan smiles and reaches out for Noah to help him, Noah grabs his hand and helps him up to his feet "great job, you are getting much better." Ethan smiles and pats him on his back and congratulates him on his win. Sophia walks to me and helps me get up "okay, I will be on the mat with you showing you how to block" she nods and takes off her shoes, and walks to the center, Ethan hands me his weapon, and Noah hands Sophia his weapon and leaves the mat. Evelyn and Sophia look at each other and nodded that's when she moved back one foot and swung hard in the air and you can feel the wing coming at you with the full force she looks at me "okay now you try but remember swing hard like imagine this person you're swinging at makes you angry"
Evelyn nods and puts her right leg behind her and closes her eyes for a moment, then she opens her eyes and swings her weapon with full force she could feel something happy with just one swing making her feel powerful. Sophia smiles "that was very good, how did you feel" Evelyn didn't say anything but she finally spoke and said "it felt amazing I got a weird tingle" Sophia looks proud and so did Noah, Evelyn didn't feel this happy in a very long time.
After the training was over she and Noah went for a nice walk to a shop down the street from the base. It was very chilly out I started to get goosebumps on my body, and that's when Noah noticed and took off his jacket and out it around me "Evelyn I just want to let you know I like you and this is my very first time telling someone and I'm very happy when your around" Evelyn looked at him for a while smiling she grabbed his hand and locked their hands together "Me too Noah I was very scared to tell you I never been in a relationship" she looks down but Noah stopped in his path and pulled her close to him, he puts one finger underneath my chin to make me look at him. We look at each other for a while that's when he leans down and kisses her lips gently.
Once we get to the store we walk hand in hand we go down a lane that has soap and clothes, Evelyn looks at the clothes for a cute crop top before we hear screaming in the distance Noah and Evelyn run towards where we heard the screaming coming from, once we got there we see a demon trying to hurt a human in broad daylight.
We looked at each other then took out our swords and ran after the demon. Once we got close enough we both swung hard at the demon but it got underneath us before we could hit it. We didn't have time to think but before we knew it, we were both on the floor I winched in pain. Noah and Evelyn grabbed each other's hands and closed their eyes, they felt a surge of power rushing through them fast making them feel dizzy.
But they knew if they let go something bad will happen they put their minds on the demon and open their eyes and a burst of light at the demon making it burst into ash.
