Chapter 13

Once Tade and Noah reach the hallway. Tade stops in his tracks and turns around
"Noah I want to ask you a serious question?"
Noah was curious about what he wanted to say
"Yes sir"
"Do you love my niece" Noah shakes his head yes
"Why do you ask sir?"
"I don't want her hurt" Tade sighs and looks at Evelyn through the door
Noah walks over and stands next to Tade "sir I love her more than my own life" Tade looks at him with a smile
"Good pls looks after her, I'm going to the underworld to look for her parents" Noah looks at him
"You know where the portal is?" Tade shakes his head yes
Tade looks at Noah
"I will leave her to you" he nods and they both go their separate ways.
Evelyn started to miss her uncle very much. She was very sad but she had her little sister. One afternoon she was sitting in a chair in the far corner of her room reading city of bones. When she got chills, she grabs her blue jacket and puts it in. Before she sits down a sharp pain hits her hard and makes her fall down and hit her head. Evelyn passed out. Her whole body feels numb but she couldn't open her eyes or move her body parts. Evelyn was terrified she didn't know what to think.
But then she saw a bright white light speaking to her
"Stop looking for your parents" Evelyn was very confused
"Why should I stop?" It took a minute but the light spoke
"If you do, demons will come after you" Evelyn was silent.
Then she was pulled to a memory of her parents when she was a baby
"Hush my baby don't say a word mommy is here" she heard her mother singing to her. Evelyn smiled then she could feel her hands again, then her feet. Soon her eyes opened. Once they did. Sophia yelled something she couldn't hear. Then everyone starts rushing in
"What's going on?" Her voice felt tuff she started to cough. Sophia rubbed my back gently, she looks at Sophia and leans against her shoulder
"Why do I feel like my whole body is broken?" Sophia starts to get tears
"We found you in your room with blood everywhere, I thought you where dead" Evelyn sits up quickly and turns around
"So your saying I could have died" Sophia shakes her head no
"We thought you did, but I was so scared" she starts crying. Evelyn pulls her into her arms
"I'm sorry I worried you" she runs Sophia's back gently
"Sophia something weird happened when I was knocked out a bright light spoke to me" Sophia sits up and Noah sits beside her
"What did the light say" Evelyn looked down
"The light told me to stop if I don't want demons to hunt me down" Noah grabs my hands in his and kisses my hands gently
"We half to wait then until Tade comes back"
She knows and smiles at Sophia.
The next couple of weeks has passed. Evelyn and her sister spent a whole lot of time together. They both were happy.
One day Noah knocks on my door asking me to get ready for a date. Evelyn was very excited she didn't go out for a month. Noah sits in her bed while she picks an outfit for the date. He already had blue jeans and a white button-up t-shirt. Evelyn thought this side was kinda hot. She eventually found a light purple dress with sparkles going around her waist and it went down all the way to her legs.
She then put on some makeup. Once she was ready Noah grabbed the door and went out holding her hand. She felt very special like she was a princess. Sophia ran into us smiling
"Hello my sweet bestie you look stunning" Evelyn giggles
"Thank you, Sophia but I always look like this beautiful" she then winks. Then after talking awhile Noah pulls me to the side and kisses me gently on the lips
"Let's go I have a fun day planned" she smiles and takes his hand. He then leads the way. Noah leads her outside to a limousine parked in front of the building. He smiles at her and lets her get in. Evelyn was so happy she looked at the drinks next to them and gave one to Noah
"We are gonna have so much fun" he nods and leans back while the limousine drives off. Evelyn lays her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes.
Before she knew it. They were at a nice restaurant called the Olive Garden. Noah opens the door for Evelyn. He then lends out his hand for Evelyn to take it. She smiles and grabs his hand while she gets out of the limousine. They both head inside
"Excuse me Miss I made a reservation underneath Noah Moore" she grabs her book and looks at the list
"Yes, right this way" the waiter leads them to a table in the back where no one was sitting. Evelyn was so happy, that Noah took her out. Noah pulls out a chair and motions for her to sit. She goes to sit down but she has to hold her dress with her hands. Noah rushes the chair in. Then he goes down to sit. That's when they came with Evelyn's favorite food
Pasta, shrimp, and more. Evelyn holds her hand out towards Noah. He gracefully takes her hand and smiles
"Thank you for this my love" she smiles
"You're welcome" he then kisses her hand gently.
Once all the food is here and the drinks. They start to eat. Noah got up and went over to Evelyn. He gets down on one knee
"Evelyn Novak, will you marry me?" He then takes out a blue diamond ring with a gold band and white heels around the band surrounding the blue diamond. Evelyn's face starts to feel warm, she lifts her hand to feel her cheeks to notice she is crying and shakes her head yes.
Noah smiles and puts the ring on and kisses her passionately. Everything claps. Noah and Evelyn get a little shy. After they finished the rest of their meals they left to go home. Once they get inside Sophia ran over-excited
"Let me see my sister-in-laws ring" Evelyn showed her the ring
"I couldn't stop crying" she smiles and hugs Sophia. Noah walks up and kisses my cheek
"Just wait until mom finds out"
"Finds out what" Clara walks in. Evelyn runs over and shows her the ring
"It's beautiful like you" she smiles and gives her a hug
"Thank you mom" Evelyn smiles. Clara pats her head gently
"Go hurry and tell Ethan he will be happy to get another sister." Evelyn nods and runs off
"Don't run you will fall missy" Evelyn starts to slow down and walks fast to find Ethan. Noah giggles and follows along. They looked everywhere but couldn't find him. She then gets out her phone and texts Ethan
"Where are you?" He responds
"In your uncle's room," she then rushes to her uncles room. She knocks on her uncles door.
Ethan opens the door with a sad look
"Evelyn I miss him" she pulls him into a hug
"I know so do I, but he will return I promise" he looks at her with a slight smile
"Okay I will wait, but what did you need" he leaves the door open and sits on Tade's bed
"I'm getting married, look" she smiles and shows him the ring
"That's amazing congrats" he looks down
"Look Ethan I know you love him, but he will come back" he gives her a slight smile and then she turns to leave him alone in peace.
Before she hits her room she gets a text from some unknown person
"Come get your parents if you want them alive" with a picture attached of her parents in a cage looking terrified. She called Noah right away
"Noah come quick pls"
"What's wrong love you okay"
"No someone sent me a text of a picture with my parents locked up," she said through tears. Noah hung up the phone and ran as as he could. Once he got there he saw Evelyn on the ground crying. He ran up to her and held her in his embrace trying to get her to calm down
"Why is this happening to me?" She held onto him tightly
"Shh it's okay" he rubs her back
"Let me see your phone love" she hands it to him. He takes it and opens up her message once he does he clicks on the picture. He was stunned at the sight of the picture. Noah takes out his phone and calls his sister
"Hey Sophia, I need your help"
"What's up big brother"!
"Evelyn needs you someone is sending pictures of her parents being locked up"
"I'm on my way, hang tight" Noah then helps her on her bed.
A couple of minutes have passed when Noah answers Evelyn's door. Once Sophia enters she sees Evelyn laying underneath her covers
"That bad huh" she looks at her brother
"Let me see the photo pls" he hands her Evelyn's phone once she sees the photo she is shocked and gives the phone back to Noah. She goes to Evelyn and sits on the bed next to her
"Someone is going to pay for this, go tell mother" he agrees and leaves the room with the two girls alone sitting in complete silence.
Noah comes back with Clara who rushes over to the girls
"Are you both okay" they nod without saying a word
"Mom why is this happening to me" Evelyn starts crying and holds onto Sophia. Clara strokes Evelyn's hair
"I'm sorry my dear we will make this stop" Clara gets in the bed with them and holds both of her kids in her arms.
