Chapter 18

A couple of weeks after the wedding. Evelyn's stomach was getting bigger. One morning Evelyn woke up with a really bad pain in her stomach. She shakes Noah gently from side to side. She winched and closes her eyes shut. Noah slowly wakes up and turns over to her side. To find Evelyn holding her stomach crying. He initially sits up and rubs Evelyn's back
"What's wrong sweetheart" she looks up with tears in her eyes. He wipes the tears from her eyes
"I'm here no need to cry" he gently rubs her belly. Evelyn lays her head on his shoulder. He covers her more with the cover. Then gets his phone off the table and texts Ethan
"Can you bring up food for Evelyn"
"Yeah, what does she want"
"Pancakes, thank you"
"NP" then he puts his phone back and closes his eyes for awhile. 10 minutes later he hears a knock at the door. He gently lays Evelyn down on the bed and gets the door
"Hey Ethan, thx for bringing her food she fell asleep on my shoulder" he smiles and brings the plate in to put it on the desk
"Hey is she still hurting" Noah sighs
"They are getting worse" Ethan walks over to Evelyn and rubs her back
"Hey weirdo" she smiles and looks up at him
"Hey Evelyn" Ethan helps her into a sitting position
"Does being pregnant hurt this bad" she shakes her head yes. Noah comes over and holds her hand
"How is my sister"
"She's find but she misses you a lot" she smiles
"Can you bring her pls" Noah and Ethan look at each other unsure what to say
"Yes we can but if you feel overwhelmed I'm not letting her stay long" she smiles and kisses Noah
"Thank you love" he smiles and kisses my cheek
"Get some rest, I will go get her right now" she nods and lays back down grabbing her pillow and holding it close to her belly.
Noah comes in back in a hour later with Evelyn's little sister. He goes to wake her from her nap. Evelyn opens her eyes a little and looks up at Noah smiling
"Hey handsome" he smiles and strokes her hair out of her face
"Your sister is here" she smiles and lifts her head
"Hey baby girl, you okay?" The little girls runs up with tears
"Sissy you scared me" Evelyn wipes her tears away and kisses her cheek
"I'm here now princess" the little girl smiles and lays next to her big sis. Noah looks at them smiling
"I love you Evelyn Moore" she looks up at Noah
"I love you more Noah" she grabs ahold of his hand.
Noah leaves the room where Evelyn can spend time with her sister. He heads to the main lobby to find a big crowd surrounding some people. Sophia runs to her brother with Ethan behind her
"Something big happened, we half to find mother quickly" he looks again and was very curious but he went to go find their mother. Noah comes back a couple minutes later with their mom. She looks at Sophia with worry eyes
"What's wrong? Who is here?" She walked over to her daughter who still is in shock
"It's Tade and Evelyn's parents they are badly hurt" Clara runs over to the crowd and makes her way towards her best Friend Evelyn's mom. She was covered up with bruises and blood coming out of her legs. Clara started to get tears in her eyes and got down on her knees
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you," she said threw sobs Evelyn's mom looks up with tears in her eyes and hugs her tightly
"You were there with me I thought of you the whole time" she gives Clara a weak smile and wipes Clara's eyes,
"Really?" She nods
"Can you help me and my husband get cleaned up" Clara smiles and gets up to help them both
"Guards take them to the washroom pls" while Evelyn's parents left the room her kids came up
"You okay mother?" Sophia asked in a worried tone
She looks at her daughter
"I'm fine but get Evelyn down here" then she leaves them alone. Noah sighs and goes to get his wife. He entered his room to see Evelyn reading a book, he loves to see her so calm
"Hey love, we have someone who you might wanna meet" she looks up and smiles when she sees his face
"Hey love, who is it?" He walks over and lends out his hand to help her up
"You will see" he kisses her cheek gently, he helps her towards a hallway she never went down she was a little scared. She held onto Noah's arm. Once they got a big wooden door that was at the end of the hallway. They entered and the first person she sees is her uncle Tade. She ran up to him and gave him a big hug
"Oh my gosh you grew and your belly too" he kisses her forehead
"Im pregnant and married" she looks up at her uncle
"I missed it," he said with a sad face
"It's okay you're here now" then two people walk in who look like her
"Who are they?" Tade led her to them
"Meet your parents" she looks at them for a while then backs away
"I don't want to see them" she walks over to Noah and hides behind him. The woman walks a little closer with tears in her eyes
"I'm sorry we left you" Evelyn looks at her
"I know it wasn't your fault" she comes a little closer to the woman
"But how could you abandon my sister" the lady was confused
"You don't have a sister who told you that" then all the lights in the room started to flicker like crazy and an older lady appeared in front of them she had grey hair but a very slim body but somehow she looked young enough to pass as 28. She walks over to Evelyn
"Thank you for leading me to her" she did an evil grin and then turned to face the other woman
"Long time sister" Noah grabbed Evelyn and took her over near his mother
"What are you doing here, you are supposed to be dead" she snarled at her sister
"Well I did die, but then this amazing demon brought me back to kill you" she does an evil laugh. Clara ran up to her and pushed her best friend out of the way
"You are not taking her from me again" she spat and glared at the old lady who was in the ground
"Nice to see you too witch" the old lady gets up and dusts herself off
"How should I do this, take you this time" she glares at Clara
"Fight me old hag, I was more powerful then and I still am" the old lady walks over and snaps her fingers, they were gone and all the lights went out flooding the room with light. Clara looks around terrified of what might happen to her in the underworld. The evil lady pulls her by holding her right arm and pushes her in a cage and locks it with the key she had around her neck.
Clara pulls her knees to her chest with a single tear going down her face. She only wished her kids would hurry and save her from this hell she was in.
Noah was calling out
"Evelyn where are you?" She grabbed her phone from her back pocket and turned her flashlight on. Evelyn sees Noah in the far corner of the room and everyone else laying on the floor passed out. She then walks over to Noah without stepping on anyone.
"Let's check on everyone" Evelyn said he then nods. Noah and Evelyn gets rags and dabs Sophia's head, she starts to move and opens her eyes
"Hey Sophia" Evelyn smiles and helps her up
"Yeah thx" she winched in pain from getting up
"You okay?" She nods
Evelyn gets up and lends out her hand to help her up. Noah walks over and checks Sophia for any bruises
"You okay sis" she nods and lays her head on his shoulder. She smiles and looks at Noah and Sophia
"You guys are so adorable" Sophia looks at Evelyn and gives her a faint smile. Then she hears a movement and sees Tade looking at her
"Uncle your okay" she smiles and runs into his arms
"I was so worried" she starts to get tears running down her face. Tade kisses her forehead
"I'm fine I promise" he holds her for awhile staying that way.
The evil lady walks back over to the cage with her high heels on the marble floor going click click
"Well hello my little prisoner doing okay" she says while doing an evil laugh
Clara looks at her with her head laying low enough where the lady doesn't notice. The evil lady leaves again after not getting an response. While Clara sits in her small cell with rusty old pipes and just a bed with a sink and a toilet. She sits on the tiny mattress in the far corner of the room thinking of how she might not be there to see her grandchild, she then starts to get tears down her face again.
