★ ! T- hey were late again.
kakashi was so sick of the two dumbasses being always late. especially on such an important occasion.
today was his & y/n's first day as official jonin. he had always been a tad bit confused on how she became a jonin without her sharingan; especially because she was always sloppy in hand to hand combat practices.
nonetheless, it wasn't his business. he didn't care. all he cared about was how he was a jonin now. his dad would be so proud.
the two uchiha's finally showed up, out of breath from the run. they both muttered on two different stories; y/n having to take a different path because a black cat crossed hers & obito helping an elderly lady carry her bags across the road.
"gosh, nobody cares! just don't be late! it's that simple!" kakashi hissed, irritation showing on his face while rin chuckled softly.
"kashi, you should really be nicer." y/n frowned, helping obito put in his eye drops.
"stop calling me that!" he yelled, making obito scoff.
"stop being a dick! all she said was to be a little nicer. all y/n has ever done was be nice to you!" the black haired male yelled back, causing the two to argue with each other endlessly.
"okay you two!" minato chuckled, gathering everyone's attention. the blonde went on to congratulate the two 13 year olds on becoming jonin; having everyone give a gift.
he gave both of his students a kunai with a tag around it. rin gave kakashi a medical kit & y/n a necklace she'd been interested in months ago when the two went shopping.
"ah?! this was so expensive, rin! thank you so much!" y/n beamed, immediately putting it on. everyone looked back to obito who nervously chuckled.
"i kinda only remembered to get a gift for n/n." he mumbled, ravishing through his pockets to find the cute anklet he had made with the clans symbol.
kakashi seemed irritated, but shook it off. he was so mad. everyone got her cute gifts. nice decorations to go with her aesthetic. he got a med kit.
a med kit.
"oh, before i forget!" y/n smiled nervously, "i'm not sure what kind of things you like, but i bought you this."
she handed the silver haired male a book. a fucking book. his anger was up the wall at the point.
"i hope you like it.. kashi."
that sentence really did it for him. he slapped her hand harshly away from him; showing he truly didn't want the book. he scoffed, turning around.
y/n's smile fell. she cleared her throat before putting the book up. obito put his hand on her shoulder while minato hesitantly moved along and went about the plan for the mission.
