*Gabby's POV*
"Your 18th birthday is Friday, have anything fun planned?" My dad asked from the kitchen as I walked out of my room ready for school.
"No, I just planned on hanging around here getting high all day like I've done for the last 17 years." I chuckled taking a seat at the kitchen island since I was early for once.
"We could go to dinner? Like old time." He smiled and I nodded eagerly, "I would like that, actually. Can we still do dinner like that once a month? We haven't gotten to do that since you couldn't come up as much." I frowned and he nodded, "of course, Mija. We will start this Friday then." He said with a smile and I nodded.
After we broke the news to my mom that we were taking her to family court, he stopped coming to Washington. He saved the money from those trips to pay a good family lawyer which obviously was worth it in the long run.
"You know, I'm not really feeling school today. Can I skip?" I asked although I promised I wouldn't miss any school, I just wasn't feeling it today.
"I don't care, I'll call up there and tell them you're sick. I think Spooky is coming over to do some work on the car in the garage, I have some business to handle with Skull so I won't be home until late." I smiled, "thank you and be careful." I said.
There was always a pit of anxiety in my stomach any time my dad said he needed to handle some business.
He nodded before coming to my side and placing a soft kiss on the top of my head before leaving. "I love you!" I yelled as soon as he closed the door. I heard him laugh and crack it open, "I love you too kid."

After he left I went to change into more comfortable clothes since I wasn't expected to leave my house. I changed out of my jeans into a pair of black spandex and a random black oversized T-shirt I had.
My phone started to buzz and I instantly smiled seeing the FaceTime call from Trey.
"Trey!" I said once his face popped up, he was laying in his bed. "Hey, Gabs. How's it going?" He asked and I just shrugged. "Good, I love it here. I do miss y-" I started to say but was cut off by a knock on the front door.
"Hang on." I said walking towards the door with my phone still in my hand so all Trey could see was an awkward angle of my forehead.
"Oh, hey Oscar." I said stepping away from the door. "It was just, Spooky you're good." I said looking down at the screen then back up to Spooky as he closed the front door behind him.
I grabbed a rolled blunt off the coffee table and held it up to Spooky who smiled and took a seat in the chair next to me.
I propped my phone up so I could sit back. I was now well aware of the fact that it didn't look like I had pants on but at this point I didn't care.
"Who's Spooky?" Trey asked I could see him sit up in his bed and he grabbed a joint himself.
"One of my dads guys, say hi." I said turning the phone a little so now both Spooky and I were in view, I had yet to even hear Spooky speak a word since he walked in.
"Hey, man." Trey said causing Spooky to just nod. I lit the blunt and handed it over to Spooky after a few hits. I heard some hushed voices on the other end and Trey looked annoyed.
"I gotta go, I'll talk to you soon okay?" Trey said and I nodded, "later, fool." He chuckled and hung up.
"That your boyfriend?" Spooky asked handing the blunt back to me and I shook my head. "He's like my brother, one of the only people in Washington I trust. In fact I would even say he's the best thing about Washington." He nodded.
"Your dad said you were sick, you don't look sick." He simply stated and I chuckled, "definitely not sick, I just didn't wanna go." I shrugged.
"Slacker, I better get started on his car so it's done when he gets home." He said handing the blunt over to me. "If you need anything I'll be in here. No promises I'll be awake tho." I chuckled and he nodded walking out the back door towards the garage.
After a little while I got bored and hungry so I made myself a sandwich while also making Spooky one too.
I walked outside with both plates and stepped into the garage. He was shirtless and leaning over the car but started to wipe his hands off on the rag that was thrown over his shoulder. Holy fuck he looked so hot right now. Why does he have to be older than me? I guess technically I turned 18 in a few days so maybe it's not that big of deal?
"Gracias, Hermosa." He said calmly while taking the plate and leaning against the car. "You're welcome, I'm watching a movie if you want to take a break?" I questioned. Did I really just asked him to watch a movie with me? My cheeks blushed at my own thoughts.
"Sure." He said catching me off guard but he followed me back into the house and taking a seat on the same chair as before.
"Want a dab?" I asked sitting back down on the couch cross legged after going to grab a puck of resin from my bedroom.
"You take dabs?" He raised an eyebrow, "well yeah, it's cheaper than bud and lasts longer." I shrugged heating up the banger on my bong.
I heard him mutter something under his breath but couldn't make out what he said so I decided to just ignore it before taking a dab then handing the rig over to him. He stared at me for a second before grabbing it.
"Your dad said your birthday is Friday. 17?" He asked and I shook my head, "18." I nodded looking down at the bong in his hands with a small smirk.
"Hurry, I want another dab before I put this movie on." I chuckled and he quickly finished clearing the bong before handing it back.
"Where'd you get the dabs from? That's nice." He asked pointing towards the puck in my hand. "It's my last puck from Washington, dabs are mostly the only thing I could smoke at home because they don't smell as bad as bud." I explained and he nodded.
