"Gabriella!" David called from the front door, they were given clear instructions that Gabby was to be moved out within 48 hours of the custody papers being signed. They had 16 hours left before they would be starting their long journey to Freeridge, California.

For most people a move from Washington to that part of California would be a downgrade, but to Gabby, she couldn't help but feel excited for the move and her new life.

She was finally moving out of her mothers tortured shadow and moving to make a name for herself. For 17 years the young girl was hardly allowed out of her mothers gaze. Something about being "a delinquent daughter that thought she knew better than her mother" but as Gabby would put it. She's "a control freak who can't stand that her daughters life is turning out better than her own."

"You almost ready? I got us a hotel for tonight so you don't have to stay here for one more godforsaken night." Her father spoke spinning the keys around his pointer finger and looking at the young girl.

She looked exactly like her father, something she was more thankful for than anything. She had tattoos littered across her body. Although she was only 17, she looked like she was 30 which was enough for her to never get IDed which explains the many piercings and tattoos. Looking way older than she really was, was something she milked a whole lot of. She used her looks and gene for not giving a damn as her personality traits and she got away with it a lot. One bat of an eyelash and she had men swooning at her feet.

After loading the last box into the trailer Gabriella smiled over at her dad as she slipped on a pair of sun glasses and pulled her purse over her shoulder.

"Get me out of this house before I burn it down on the way out." She joked leaving the house behind without a single look back.

She twirled a black lock between two of her fingers while they drove to the hotel David had rented out for the pair. She was more excited to be getting a fresh started than anything and just hanging around this small town was giving her anxiety. She just wants to go and never look back.

"Are you hungry?" He father asked glancing over at her and tilting his head down so he could see the girl over his sun glasses. She only shrugged and kept looking out the window. "Not starving, but I could use a snack."

"Well let's go get some snacks then we can just go chill out before we have to leave in the morning?" He asked and she instantly agreed. She was itching for a smoke but that was one thing she kept hidden from her dad.

As if he was reading her mind he pulled out a pack of cigarettes, the first time she can think of that she's ever seen her dad with a pack of smokes in his hand.

He glanced at his daughter before holding the box out to her. As much as she tried to keep it hidden from him, he had smelled it on her a handful of times.

She hesitated for a second but pulled a cigarette out of the box and placed it between her teeth. He then handed her a lighter which she quickly lit the cigarette and handed the lighter back to her father, knowing she couldn't be trusted. The lighter would end up in her purse.

She sighed in relief, the edge she had earlier about having to hang back in this horrid town had dissipated. Excitement now taking its place as they pulled up to a small convenience store, the one she knew all too well.

Stepping inside with her father in tow the cashier gave her a funny look. "Sup, Trey." She said walking passed the counter and making a B-line for the freezer section where she grabbed two Red Bulls.

She tossed one to her dad before turning to look through the snacks. "Is it moving day?" Trey asked from the counter causing her to nod. "It is, now don't miss me too much." She chuckled making her way to the counter where she started to pull a $20 out of her bra but her dad stepped to her side and handed the cashier some money.

"Take it easy, Gabby. Maybe one day I can come visit." He sent her a small smile. Trey was one of the only people in this town she could stand. He had always had the biggest crush on her but once he found out she was completely underaged he started to look at the girl as a younger sister. He always had her back.

"Take it easy, I'll be in touch." She smiled dapping him up before the father, daughter duo made their way outside.

After they stepped into the moving truck, David's phone started to buzz. He instantly started grumbling before answering the phone.

"What up, Spooky." He said flatly into the phone. He was more annoyed the guys were bugging him than anything. They knew he was on his way to pick up his daughter, Santos shit was the last thing he wanted to deal with. There's a reason he stepped down.

"Lidia con el problema tú mismo, eres un niño grande." He joked causing the girl next to him to snort at his words.

"No, Spooky. Todavía estoy en Washington. Dijiste que manejarías la mierda. Di un paso hacia abajo por una razón, chicos, pueden averiguarlo. Llámame cuando termine." He snapped.

Gabby chuckled at his words, she knew the kind of life he lived. She knew what label she would get when she arrived at Freeridge. The large Los Santos cross placed on her fathers forearm was a given. She knew her life would be an interesting one once she got to California.
