Lorenzo POV

I looked down at my watch. It read 3:25. I was in a meeting to discuss the opening of my new casino, 'The House' and it was dragging on. The grand opening was set for July 8 so my party planner, Anna, had less then two weeks to pull all the last minute details together.

Anna and I had worked together before, so she knew what my tastes were. What I liked and disliked. I trusted that our opening night would be incredible. this meeting was simply a formality, plus it never hurt to remind people who I was and the power I held.

I was giving them 5 more minutes and then I was pulling the plug. I had been overworking myself to avoid being around Lindsay too much. I knew through Maria that she was an amazing mother to Nicolas, she doted on my little boy. that helped me, knowing that I had at least got that right. last night I had made it home for supper and Lindsay had asked me if I could make time for her and Nicolas so I had promised her that we would have some family time this weekend and honestly, I could use the break. I hate to say it but being in Italy I had become a little too relaxed. I had no meetings to manage, I wasn't running out at all hours of the day or night or babysitting grown men, who should know better.

I glanced around the room one last time and cleared my throat, gaining everyone's attention. The idle chatter stopped, and everyone looked at me.

"Anna," I called.

"Yes, Sir."

"I trust that you have everything you need from me and that everything will be ready?" I asked.

"Yes. Thank you. On the off chance, i have any issues, I will contact your P.A, it's' still Gemma, right?"

"Yes, it's still Gemma and yes she will handle any last-minute issues." I told her with a nod.

I stood up from the table, which made everyone else stand up too. They all looked at me. "I'm having a quiet weekend with my family. If you absolutely need me, do not contact Valentino..." I looked over at him, he had his head hung, knowing he was still on my shit list.

"This is Carlos," I nodded his way, "if you need me, contact him, oh and someone better be dying or in jail." I warned them.

With that, I grabbed my phone off the table and walked out of the room with Carlos following behind. Since this meeting was at my office building, I had a roughly thirty-minute ride until I reached the mansion.
