Henry POV

Was this really happening? Was it really that easy? Well not really easy, I went through hell when Lindsay was no longer under my roof and no one would believe me that she wasn't the woman we buried.

But that all seems like a distant memory now because as I finish my drink and look into the crowd I see Tiffany holding Lindsay's hand and leading her right toward me.

I fed Tiffany a bullshit story about Lindsay being my sister who suffered memory loss due to abuse from her husband and she had to help me rescue her. Of course she believed me without question. What a good pet I have created.

When they arrived at the table, I stood up to greet them.

"Lindsay, this is my boyfriend, Henry." Tiffany said as she pulled Lindsay forward and wrapped an arm around Lindsay's waist "And Henry, this is my best friend, Lindsay."

I was practically vibrating so I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. I hadn't seen my wife since that awful night and she was even more stunning then I remembered. A tad slutty if I'm being completely honest, with the high slit of her dress and the low neckline that showed off her perky breasts. What the fuck was Lorenzo thinking to put her on display like this? But she's within arms reach so I'm choosing not to be picky.

"Great to meet you, Henry

"Great to meet you, Henry." Lindsay said as she looked me in the eyes. Tsk, tsk, baby girl. Already breaking rules and I will be keeping a tally.

I took her hand in mine and kissed the top of it. It took all of my self control not to pull her into a tight hug and never let her go. "Pleasure to meet you, Lindsay. Tiffany has told me so much about you." I say, feeding into the lie that Tiffany already told her.

"Ohh, all good things I hope." She coos back as a blush takes over her cheeks. Fuck me. This is harder than I thought it would be.

"Definitely all good things." I release her hand and I feel incomplete when her hand slips out of mine.

"Why don't we sit, get some drinks and catch up?" I gesture to the cozy couch I had been sitting on.

"Sure, I guess I can sit for a few minutes." Lindsay replies as she slides onto the couch
