After what felt like hours, he stopped the car. I peeked up to see we were in the woods. He got out of the car and took the bodies out of the truck. I peeked out the window and watched him throw them into a lake. Then we started driving again. We drove for another hour or two then stopped. It was about two in the morning now. He got Mila and Nick's belongings out of the car. I saw him bury them in the woods. This took a while since he dug a super deep hole. Then we started driving again.

"What are we doing?" I asked.

"Spreading out the evidence in different states." He said

"When will we stop for good?" I asked.

"Once we get rid of it all, I'm going to take you home." He said.

"Home? Like my home? The home we literally just left?" I said.

"No, my home. I don stay there often, but the people there will take care of you." He said

"What? What people?" I said.

"You're asking too many questions. Shut up." He said.

For a few more hours we drove, then stopped. The sun was rising.

"Go to sleep. You've been awake all night." He said.
"Jeff..." I said

"Yeah?" He replied.

"Why are you doing this? Why me?" I asked.

He paused.

"Because you just like how I used to be, almost crazy, just needing a little push." He said

"But, nothing ever happened to me. I've lived a normal life. I'm just normal." I said

"So was I, then three guys tried to beat me up and I just lost my shit. Some people are just born almost crazy. Some people are just born to be murderers." He said.

I lay down in the back seat and slept. I trusted that Jeff would watch over me.

When he woke me up it was night again. We were parked in the woods and he had gotten me some food. I ate quickly and then we started driving again.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"We just got to California. We've been through Oregon and Nevada." He said.

I was surprised at how far he had driven. We pulled up at an empty valley. He got my research and bloody clothes out of the trunk and threw them in a pile. He then got out the gasoline and poured it over them. Then he lit a match. Soon the pile was on fire. All the research I had worked so long on was gone. But I guess I didn't need it anymore. He got back into the car and we watched the fire from a distance until everything had burned. Then we started driving again.

"So, how long will it take to get to where you're taking me?" I asked

"Just as long as it takes to get to the woods." He said

"What woods?" I said

"Any of them, really." He replied. I was confused but let it go.

Soon we arrived at the nearest woods. I got my bag and stepped out of the car. I had been sitting down for so long, it felt good to stand up. He stood at the edge of the woods, I walked up and stood next to him.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I replied

Suddenly he grabbed my arm and dragged me forwards. In a rush of colors and static, I looked around to find I was no longer at the edge of the woods. I looked in front of me to see a large, abandoned, broken-down mansion. I looked at Jeff.

"Okay, I managed to get used to the fact your a serial killer, but now you're fucking magical?" I said

"I'm not magical, all of us can travel here at will." He said.

"All of who?" I asked.

He grabbed my hand and walked put up to the doors. He walked inside the mansion with me. I was surprised to see that even though it looked abandoned on the outside, the inside was fully functional with electricity, and heating, hell it looked like a real normal mansion. It had a red gothic vibe to it, I liked it. One thing that I noticed is that there weren't any windows.
