"Kai!!" Footsteps were loud behind the boy who was studying. He didn't budge of his seat nor spare the girl a glance. She again shouted on his left ear whilst shaking him to get his attention.
"What is it Miyara?" After all the countless calls, Kai finally answered clearly annoyed. He closed his book and stared at her with fierce eyes. Miyara smiled jolly as she raised her dolls on the air. "Let's play! It's already break time!" She continued to ramble.
"Almost break time. Also I can't I need to finish the activity" Kai reasoned. Miyara let out a loud complain. She sat in front of Kai, taking both of her hands to lift his face. "We could do that later! Your snacks will get eww-ie if you don't eat it!" Miyara continued to convincing the older.
Kai shrugged Miyara's hands off his face, patting it slightly. He picked up his dropped pencil and continued to write. "I don't have snacks today. Go play with the others" He mutter not minding Miyara anymore.
She was beyond shock. She cannot believe that her best friend doesn't have snacks with them. She knew that Kai has many and good snacks out of all of their classmates. Miyara quickly rushed towards her bag and pulled up chocolate biscuits that her Dad picked up for her. She soon laid the snacks on the table and smiled brightly. "It's fine if you don't want to play but you should eat something. Bye! I'm going out!" Miyara said before rushing out the door.
"Oh! Don't forget to eat those Kai!" She shouted while running on the hallway.Kai sighed while doing his activity. He slowly looked at the biscuits Miyara gave him. He was tempted to eat it, due to his forgetfulness of not bringing his own. He again sighed and opened the packet.
"Miyara! Let's play on the slide!" A classmate shouted for Miyara's attention. She smiled and got up running towards her classmates. Breaks are always her favorite in school- though having classes is fine since she gets to sit besides Kai.
"Why is Kai not here?" Another classmate asked. Kai obviously was popular among them despite him not talking to them, He still got everyone's attention. "I don't know. He doesn't want to come" A classmate replied, some of them were bummed out yet continued to play.
"Miyara, You should ask if Kai wants to join. Maybe he's just shy" Rin- her classmate asked. Miyara silently rolled her eyes. "I already did but he really doesn't want to come" She explained and left Rin to play somewhere else. She was getting annoyed at all the questions. Miyara took a mental note that at all times, She should always bring Kai along with her.
A shining black car caught Miyara's views. She was familiar with it. It suddenly clicked- It was Kai's car! She saw Kai got in and out of that car a few times. Miyara stared at the vehicle, as if waiting on who's getting off the fancy car.
A tall man in a white formal shirt and slacks got off the car. He was carrying a small bag with him. He walked towards the school gate and entered but didn't go any further. Miyara was mesmerized by the handsome man but that wasn't what she was thinking. She focused more on the features of the newcomer. A light bulb click- It's Kai's father!
Kai has strong similar features to the tall man. From his face and even the height. Miyara couldn't help but awe, It's the first time she saw her best friend's dad. The man took his phone from his pocket and placed it on the side of his ear. Miyara just watched contemplating if she should tell Kai right away. Her father's words "Don't talk to strangers" ringing on her ears.
"Where's Kai's teacher?" The man complained while looking at his phone in disbelief. He rang it for a few times but no one answered. As soon Miyara heard Kai, She for sure thought it was no stranger. Miyara walked carefully until she was in front of him. "Are you Kai Chivaaree's papa?"
