"Sir, It's best if you go home for now" The man in glasses suggested to his sleep deprived boss. Piles of paperwork and a bright laptop that hasn't been closed for hours decorated the long wooden office table. Tired eyes looked back to other, pinching the bridge of his nose. "What time is it?" He groaned

"Nine in the evening, Sir, but I suggest to wrap things up now" The secretary continued, He gulped as guilt quickly rose in him. Bright sighed eyeing his secretary in disbelief. "It's still early. Why are you eager to go, Mr. Ai?" He said turning his eyes back to the papers.

Ai gulped as his fingers ran through the thick papers while giving uneasy glances towards his boss. It was very obvious for Bright that his partner in the room has some concerns. He slowly dropped his hold on the document, straightening his posture. "What seems to be the problem?" He asked.

Ai mentally sighed in relief yet he couldn't bring himself to enjoy the moment as how guilt-tripping his explanation is. "Sir, I, once again suggest that you should retire for the day" Ai smiled closing his folder containing documents. Bright arched a brow in suspicion leaning back to his cushioned leathered chair as he questioned. "Why is that?"

Ai gulped a second time before exhaling heavily. "Sir, Earlier, while we were in a meeting." He started, Bright didn't utter a word making him even more nervous. "The receptionist received a phone call from your home line" Ai continued. The mere mention of Bright's home clicked the owner's attention yet again he said nothing.

"At first, We thought it's only the housekeepers but it was a child that called" Bright's heart dropped as he eyed his secretary intensely, "Go on" He commanded. There was no other child in the house other than his own. He thought was could his son want.

"Sir, There will be no other child than yours that would call. He asked for you and asking if you had lunch but when it was another that answered, telling that you were in a meeting, He-" Mr. Ai stopped his words when a distress look was plastered at his boss. "He accepted it and ended it. Didn't he?" Bright continued, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Ai nodded, forcing a smile. "Kai must have saw your previous schedule as you were supposed to be free for the early afternoon but unexpectedly the board held a meeting." He continued. His heart breaks for his boss and the child, It was no secret on what kind of life he held behind closed doors, After all he was there, entirely. Ai walked towards Bright and bowed at a perfect angle.

"I am sincerely sorry for not telling you earlier. I was not informed of the matter until later. I am sorry" Ai begged, If he could just be on his knees and beg then he will. Bright chuckled at his friend spinning his leathered chair facing him. "It's fine, It's not your fault, don't worry" He once again chuckled closing a binder.

Bright stood up from his sit while fixing the buttons of his sleeves. "I shall go now, I trust that you'll wrap everything up for me" He asked, dropping things in his leathered bag. He began to march out of his office waving his hand goodbye. "Have a safe trip, Sir!" Ai shouted from behind.

As Bright walk to his car, The smile that was plastered in his face soon faded. Guilt quickly replaced his facade. The thought of his son calling him to have atleast eat lunch with him yet the circumstances were different, leaving the poor child rejected. Bright glanced at his golden watch seeing the time moving fast, He started the engine and drove off.

The night drive was quiet even though to outside was bustling with joy. Bright's ears were stone deaf, He couldn't help but worry for his son and his actions. The blinding lights of the city has helped him regain his focus in some times.

Soon, The shining lights of the bridge blinded Bright. He silently cursed while continuing to drive. There weren't any people or vehicles driving over the road. He slightly moved his head to the side. A particular and obviously drunk man was suspiciously looking at the cold river below.
