You meet Shuri at an ambassadors meeting. She turns up not only as queen, but also as Black Panther to set the record straight about vibranium.

I'm currently at the ambassador meeting and it is the first time Wakanda is making an appearance since Queen Ramonda before she died (RIP). The talk is probably going to be the same thing when they are present at these meetings. The talk being about why they aren't sharing the vibranium that they have so much of. Luckily, I'm not an actual ambassador, I'm just an assistant. I say that because I agree with what Queen Ramonda said all that time ago about the rest of the world not able to be trusted with it because they'll just use it to build weapons of mass destruction to cause even more chaos.
The new queen of Wakanda aka Shuri arrives in her Black Panther uniform with some of the Dora Milaje at her side. She takes her seat at the table set for her with a label that read 'Wakanda' and takes off her mask to reveal herself to the rest of the ambassadors. She doesn't say anything, only stares at all the other ambassadors as if purposely making them feel uncomfortable. But surprisingly, her eyes land on me and I'm not sure if I imagined it but her expression seemed to soften. Then she begins to speak.
"King T'challa. Queen Romonda. My brother and mother are both dead. The Black Panther lives on. Wakanda has its protector once again and rest assure, I will make sure no one steals our vibranium. It is as my mother so clearly stated. You cannot be trusted with something that you will all use dangerously." She is right that's for sure. But I wonder if vibranium has healing qualities as well as use for building weapons.
Almost as soon as the queen of Wakanda finished speaking, she and all her soldiers left. All except one who turned to me and told me to wait outside as the queen wishes to speak to me. Shuri, the queen of Wakanda wants to speak with me? But why? But I oblige the soldiers request because if there's one thing, I know about Wakandans is it is just best to do as they say. Who knows what would happen if you don't listen to them. Anyway. I make my way out of the ambassador meeting room with all eyes on me. They probably have a shit ton of questions just like I do. I just hope I haven't pissed them off somehow. As soon as I exit the room, the Wakandan soldiers guided me to where Shuri is waiting. Wait, does she prefer Shuri or to be addressed as royalty? I guess I'm about to find out.
"Y/n l/n." She says to me. She knows my name? Of course, she would, they're Wakandans. They probably do background checks on everyone. "Your majesty." I say awkwardly. "Erm, do I bow or...?" I ask unsure of what to do in this situation. She laughs gently. "No, there's no need for that. I dragged you out of your meeting because I feel like you would be more suited to work in my lab at Wakanda." My eyes widen at her request. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" The woman who ordered me to leave the room questions her. "Yes Okoye. I'm certain of it." She tells her soldier. "What do you think y/n? Come join me in my lab?" The queen asks me again. "Oh, wow, I assume that would mean moving away from home." "Yes, it would, but you'd be working in the Wakandan lab helping me on a secret project. Secret to the outside world anyway." "Okay, sure! Why not? Might even be fun." Looks like I'm going to Wakanda to help the queen on some secret project. I don't know whether to be excited or nervous or both.
