You are pulled into a trance by the Talokan's siren call. Nakia calls out to stop you walking to your possible death. Can Shuri, your girlfriend get to you in time?
A/N - I've not slept in two days and wrote this at like 1am so there's bound to be mistakes or not make sense in parts. Let me know if I need to fix any major parts.
Every single Wakandan warrior is boarded on the largest military ship we have. Reason being, we are going to war with the Talokan's. They killed our queen and none of us are happy about it. The plan was to draw Namor out and capture him so my girl can fry him and finish him off for good and send his warriors packing. Shuri stands at the front of the ship ready for any enemy who dares attack. She evens up the odds with the help of her new Black Panther powers and saves some of the Dora Milaje who struggled against them. But this is just the beginning of the end.
We all fight off the Talokan's for a while but then a new tactic seems to be forming from them. That's when things take a turn for the worst. Especially for me. The Talokan's are now singing. I don't understand at first what is happening but all I see is our soldiers heading for the edge of the ship and jumping off. It's like they had no mind of their own. Truly terrifying. I dread to think what they'd do to our soldiers once they land in the water. Wait a minute. Why am I getting closer? I'm stood perfectly still. Or so I thought.
I am heading straight to the edge of the ship against my own will. It hadn't even dawned onto me that Nakia keeps calling my name trying to get me to stop to no avail. But with every step forward it becomes more and more clear that the call is all I want to hear and need to get closer to it no matter what. Everything else around me becomes almost non-existent. Even Nakia's voice yelling is too distant and can barely hear it anymore. There is nothing more I want now than to follow the sound of the call. The siren's call. Why is it called that? It's the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.
My feet continue dragging me closer to the enchanting sound of the call. If anyone is calling out to me now, I can't hear them anymore. All I can hear is the call. Hell, I'm not even paying attention as to who is around me anymore. It's like all of my senses have have dwindled to nothing unless I continue walking to the edge. Normally, I'd be afraid to do something such as this but right now, I just feel at peace following the call.
It isn't until I am at the edge and am about to place one foot over the side of the ship do I feel myself being pulled back pulling me out of the trance. It takes me a moment to realise that it was Shuri who saved me from going overboard. To make sure it didn't happen again, she gives me a pair of earplugs to drown out the sound of the singing Talokan's. I quickly hug her and thank her for stopping me from making a huge mistake. "It's not your fault. You know that." She says and kisses my cheek before hopping a ship that has just captured Namor. Now for the final part of the battle. I hope I can survive long enough till Shuri gets back and the war can end.
