i smiled as I threw open the large door to enid and wednesday's shared room. i swear i was in their room more then i was in mine. it could be because i've liked enid for as long as i can remember or maybe because i just simply like their room more.

i looked around the room to see the two girls gone. huh, i would at least think wednesday would be in here. maybe they're outside. i shut the door and walked towards their window. they weren't there either. i sighed in defeat as i turned around preparing to head back to my room.

before i could leave my eyes caught sight of a brightly colored book laying open on enid's bed, one i had never seen before. i can't read it i can't read it i sung in my head. my curiosity got the best of me. enid was my bestfriend she can't be hiding anything from me i thought as i picked the book up.

it looked like a sort of diary or journal. the brightly colored pen and enid's handwriting caught my eye. everything about her seemed to be perfect. this isn't right, i can't read this. i really tried to convince myself to leave the book be and leave but I just couldn't.

i flipped to the very front page of the journal and sat down on her bed. i flipped through the numerous different colored pages until something caught my eye. it was a small sketch in the corner of the page of a girl. right next to the small image was a short paragraph.

my eyes widened as i read the text that was right before me. i can't believe, enid had feelings for me all along and i was to stupid to notice. i briefly looked through some of the other pages which had sweet comments about me written on them. i felt my cheeks heat up when i heard a girl's voice laughing outside of the door.

i was in to much shock to put the book down. i started at the opening door that was about to reveal the figure. i already knew who it was. "enid" i tried to choke out as i stood up. the book still in my hands. she looked at me and at the book then back to me. "y/n why do you have that" she looked frightened "what did you read" she asked before allowing me to answer her other question.

"i didn't know" i whispered while trying to give her a small smile. "didn't know what" she asked in a rushed tone. i didn't reply, instead i put the book down on one of her many pillows and slowly walked up to her. she was about to talk when i cut her off "edin i like you too" i smiled to her.

here we stood standing in the middle of the room smiling at each other awkwardly. "how long are we gonna do this" i laughed looking down at my feet. "oh, sorry" she blushed as she swung back and forth on her feet.

"well i'm gonna go, see ya" i said as i started walking to the door to leave. "y/n wait" i turned towards her with a confused look. "hm" i sounded as she looked at me with big eyes. "can i, can we, um can" she tried to come up with something. "yes" i walked over to her, i already knew what she was asking.

looking up to her i gently cupped her cheek. i could feel the hotness which caused mine to heat up just as much. before i could give it anymore thought i leaned forward and placed a quick peck on her lips. we stood in silence for a little before she spoke up. "thank you" she said just above a whisper. i nodded giving her one last look before i turned back towards the door. "i'll see you tomorrow"
