CHAPTER FOURTY-SEVEN

Beta dj pov:

Alpha Chad wants to leave together For the royals pack. so Ivy And I set a plan when we had dinner together last night.  I purchased airplane tickets for Louisiana. Wanting Ivy to see the world and have a new life with me. That seemed a great place to start.

It's still so strange to me that I care so much for her. She was in the pack most her life and I never noticed her. Scars scattered her body to show the abuse of the old ways. But all I can see is her beauty.

She makes my wolf purr.

She is to meet me at a diner in the human town an hour away from the royals pack. Enough money on hand to feed her self while waiting for me. I plan to drop off the alpha at his chosen destination. Then when he heads into the tunnel, I will drive off to my Ivy and a new life together.  We will reject the pack once she is at the diner and I am driving to her.

So far, he suspects nothing of my betrayal.

Alpha chads pov: 

Speeding down the roads in my jeep, my beta in my passenger seat. I didn't even bother to ask permission to cross in between pack grounds to reach the royal castle.

Let other wolfs try and stop me.

I'm coming for my breeder. And to kill my mate. I plan on taking my potion 20 minutes before getting to the royals packs. I'm about an hour away from the Royal pack when I feel a wolf rejecting my pack and leaving.

"Who is Ivy greenwood?!" I yelled out of know where. Dj looked up confused.

"Who alpha?" My beta asked while looking up from his phone.

"A she-wolf just rejected the pack! Like she has a choice on the matter!" I snapped out. Dj did not speak but did seem to tense a tad bit.

"Beta! When we return, I want you to hunt this Ivy down and punish her for trying to leave the old ways!" I ordered him. "Yes alpha." He said in a monotone voice. I looked at him and studied his face.

"Beta, are you up for this task! You seem off your game and I need you on point tonight!" I asked him.

"Yes alpha, I am fine.  Just focused on the task at hand!" He replied. Looking straight head.

I continued to drive on in silence the rest of the way there. "Alpha. We will be there In about 25 minutes. You should drink your potion soon." My beta told me.

Grabbing it from my middle consul, I flipped the top off and poured it down my throat. A nasty tasting drink. Made my tongue numb.

"Dj? Do you smell my scent at all?"
Sniffing around the jeep, he told me he did not smell me. "Good!"

After reaching the pack boarders, I stopped the car about 50 feet from where I would head in.

"I'll get out here and walk. Drive the car to the end of the west side of the pack. I'll meet you there with my breeder!" I said in a determined and sadistic tone.

"Yes alpha.  I'll meet you there." My beta said. Slamming the door shut I began to creep into the woods, being on alert for guards. Dj slowly drove away in the direction I gave him.

Turning back around I set my focused on finding the tunnel entrance. I will kill him first, then find my breeder!

Beta dj pov:

I watched him turn around and walk off as I drove away. speeding up to Quickly get off the Royal packs territory not wanting to chance it. Just because I tipped them off does not mean they wouldn't try and capture me.

"I can see the end of the royals territory." I told my wolf. He howled in excitement. Knowing Ivy was in reach.

"Do it now!" My wolf said to me. Smiling, I gripped the wheel and spoke.

"I beta Damien James, reject the blood moon pack." I felt a sharp sting and a bond like pull breaking. I stepped on the gas and headed to my mate.

My Ivy.

"It's done. I'll see you soon my mate." I purred to her through our mind link.

The end of the old ways and the beginning of a new.
