(Two days later) King alpha Aegons pov:
My sisters burst into my room with laughter, shouting.
"Aegon wake up! It's our birthday!" Lily screamed in my ear while rose snuck up to my bed and poured an ice-cold cup of water on my face. My eyes shot open, and I growled out, jumping up out of bed. Both girls giggled while running out of the room.
I stood in my pajama pants and shirt. My face cold from the water and my hair dripping wet. Huffing I shook my hair and wiped the water from my face. "Little shits." I said while heading to my bathroom to Shower and get dressed for the day. As well as quickly wanting to get my sisters back. I got dressed, dried my hair and made my way quietly towards the kitchen.
As I made my way down the hall, I could hear them in the kitchen with my parents.
My sisters were so wrapped up in their birthday talk and breakfast, that they have yet to notice me while their backs were turned. Sitting at the table eating their favorite birthday breakfast. Banana pancakes with what seemed like a pound of whip cream on top. My father and mother watched with a curious look on their face as I snuck closer to the girls.
By the time they noticed me it was too late. I grabbed both of the back of their heads and pushed their faces into the whip cream. They came up from their plates screaming and wiping the whip cream from their eyes.
Laughing at the two of them, I turned and grabbed an apple from the countertop and headed for the door. Mom and dad just stood there trying to hold in laughter. They know the girls are mischievous and probably egged me on in some way. Which they did.
"Happy birthday you two! See you tonight for the party. Better get cleaned up!" I said Laughing as I headed to my office to work on a few things before the party.
I thought about my mom's words the other day and she is right. The pack needs me, and I need them. I may be unhappy, but I need to put them first and be the alpha they deserve.
Mate or no mate. My pack deserves better.
