CHAPTER FOURTY-FIVE

Trevors pov:

Shadow feels antsy. He won't stop trying to take over. All morning I've been fighting him. Breakfast with my parents was hard. Shadow would not ease up and it took a lot of my attention to keep him at bay. After giving my parents their gifts and wishing them a merry Christmas, I headed back to the pack house.
It's now around 3 and he hasn't eased up.  "Enough shadow!! You have been trying all morning to take over! What is your deal?!" Shadow growled at me.

"I feel off! Something's not right!" He yelled. "Let me out!!" Shadow yelled again. I took deep breaths. Control your self trevor! I repeated to myself. My cell phone began ringing while I was trying to control shadow.

"Yes. Hello?"

"Hello trevor. Seems you left alpha Chad much more quickly then he planned."

"Who is this? I practically yelled into the phone

"This is Dj, I don't have much time.  Alpha Chad has plans for you and his breeder. Lucky for you two. I no longer am going to be apart of his plans."

I huffed. "Why should I believe you? Your a filthy wolf. Just as disgraceful as your alpha!" Growling at me over the phone, Dj took a breath.

"I'm leaving this pack. Believe me or not. I do not care. I have found my second chance mate and I refuse to keep her in blood moon. Alpha Chad plans to come tonight for you and the breeder. He will use the old tunnels built under the castle. Planning on coming at midnight, he has a potion from a witch to hide his scent for two hours."

Still scoffing. "And you just hand over this information. Willingly?"

"Like I said, I'm not going to put my mates fate into alpha chads hands. She does not want to live by the old ways. So I choose to follow her and not alpha Chad!" Dj spoke confidently. Maybe he speaks the truth.

"I do not know what tunnel he plans on using but he does plan on coming tonight. Good luck trevor!" With that he hung up the phone.
Shit. I need to find alpha aegon.

Alpha Aegons pov:

This morning was perfect. She kissed me. It was the most amazing feeling. I can not wait to mark her after the pups are born. Choosing to wait till after the pups are born was agreed upon. Too much pain for a pregnant wolf. Even if it is only for a moment.
I left Amelia to take a nap a few hours ago. Currently in my office, going over my stocks and business paper work for a few of my companies, trevor burst through my office doors.

"Apologies for my disrespect alpha" he said out of breath and showing his neck to show summation.
"Alpha. I have just received a phone call from alpha chads beta!" He blurted, out of breath. I stood. I wondered when they would make a move.
"What did he want? They are crazy if he thinks I'm going to hand Amelia back over to him. As well as yourself!" I firmly stated.

"Yes. The alpha does want us back. But beta Dj was calling to say he was going to betray his alpha." I explained the phone call I had and what Dj explained to me.  How he found his second chance mate and wants to start a new life with her. Away from the old ways and blood moon pack.

"So he betrayed his alpha for love?!" I said out loud. "Second chance mates are special and should not be taken lightly."  I said again. Trevor stood. Waiting for my orders on what to do with alpha Chad.
"We can not let Chad know that we have knowledge of his plans. He has to think everything is going his way."  Trevor nodded in agreement.
"Beta,gamma! I need you in my office." I spoke through the link. 

"Thanks a lot!!!" My sister Lily mind linked me. What did I do I thought to ghost?  A few moments later they both came in and stood by trevor.

Gamma drake looked a bit out of sorts. His hair was messy, pants still unbuttoned and missing a sock.
"Gamma. Did I interrupt something?" I slyly asked him.  Everybody looked to him with a smirk. Now understanding my
Sisters frustration with me.

"Uhh.. Noo... no. Alpha." Scratching the back of his head and fixing his shirt collar. And that's when i saw it.
"Drake! My sister marked you?!" Standing and pulling his shirt down.
Coughing a bit, drake put on a small smile.  "Yes alpha. We marked each other." He looked nervous. If I didn't have a alpha to stop, id mess with him.

"Good. It's about damn time!" I told him while Walking back to my desk.
"Alpha Chad plans to come tonight at midnight to take back my mate and trevor. His mate". Trevor explained the phone call again to them. When
Done I began to explain my plan.

"So he can not know that we know he is coming. And I refuse to use Amelia as bait. I think the best plan of action is to catch him in the castle tunnels after he believes he has made it past the first set of guards."  We spoke about details and a plan b just incase the fist one did not work. By the time we had it sorted out everything it was 7 pm.  Dismissing everyone I stood to go find my mate.

"Thank you Luna. It smelled so good, I couldn't help but wonder to find the smell." Amelia spoke. I love how she is more Comfortable and wanting to explore the castle. Even if it's mostly her nose following someone's food.

"Do not worry my dear. I made enough for everyone. It's is Christmas after all." My mother spoke. She was so excited to have Amelia here. Excepting the pups as soon as she found out. The roll of grandma has always been in the back of her mind and now she is getting g her wish. I didn't want to have Amelia scared on her first Christmas with me, so I did not tell her alpha Chad was coming.

I stepped into the kitchen and treated them. "Mother, mate." I said coming up kissing her forehead. Amelia smiled and then became very serious. Grabbing her lower belly.
"Amelia? Are you ok?" She looked up at me, her eyes wide. Suddenly a flow of water started to form by her feet. Amelia started to hyperventilate. Not knowing what's happening. I grabbed her shoulders and told her to breath.

"Her water broke!! Oh my god! Yes!!" My mother yelled jumping up and down!

"Quick. Take her to the pack dr. She is going into labor aegon!!" I looked into Amelia's eyes and saw panic.
"I'm scared aegon!"

I gently picked her up and began quickly walking to the pack hospital. We reached it in record time, Amelia grunting and Ching In my arms. I mind linked the dr when I walked over so she was ready to go.
"Alpha, her rooms this way. Please. Put her on the bed. " the dr stated. I softly placed her on the hospital bed and stood back while the dr's and nurses began helping her and getting her ready to deliver the baby's.
She was placed on a heart monitor so the dr can watch her heart beat and vitals. The heart monitor began beeping rapidly. "Dr! Why does it sound like that? What's happening?" I frantically yelled.

"Alpha. The pups are not wanting to come out vaginally, she's going to need a C-section. The dr became very focused after she told me this and called In For two more nurses to bring Amelia to the c-section room.  "Aegon! Don't leave me!" Amelia cried out.

"I'm here Amelia. I'm right here!" I said through the nurses.  People were moving so quickly. Pushing her bed out of the hospital room and down the hall. I followed behind feeling helpless.
"Please put these on alpha. Then come into room 2. She is ready." I was handed scrubs and a hair net. Quickly dressing in them I walked into the room.

Standing by Amelia, holding her hand. A curtain was placed between half her body so she can not see the pups being pulled from her belly.

For the first time in years I was scared
