CHAPTER TWENTY

Alpha king Aegons pov:

Its been three months since that dream. Three months since I saw those brown eyes, filled with so much fear. Why can't I get those eyes out of my head.

Every time I thought of the dream, I am reminded of the caramel and hazelnut smell that lingered in the hall at my sister's birthday party. I need to get this out of my head and focus on my alpha duties. Ghost whimpered at my thoughts. Three months he's been whining over that dream.

I changed my thoughts to my sisters and my alpha duties. I received a notice from blood moons alpha a few months ago. Stating he had found his mate in the royal pack.

His family was devastated and immediately left for the elders to beg their sons return. Only to Come back empty handed and heart broken. There is not much one can do when it involves mates. Specially if you are a mated to an alpha.  They stay in their home a great deal lately. I Made a note to visit them. As for my sister Rose, she left a few days after her birthday to go search for her mate. She was becoming rather depressed. moping around the castle. So, I told her to go and take a few of the royal guards with her on her search. In hopes she will come back happy.

And lily. She hasn't been the same since her birthday party either. Hardly leaving her room and when she does, avoiding myself and our parents. I assumed she was also sad for not finding her mate. I need to make time to speak with her. I suppose Now is better than ever.

"Lily, please come to my office. It's important." I say through the mind link. 10 minutes later she knocks and walks in. sits in the chair across from my desk. "Yes" she asked.

"Sister, I have noticed you are not yourself lately. I am sorry it took me this long to speak about it, please tell me what is bothering you. I want to help." I said to my sister.

Lily picked at her nails, looking nervous. "Aegon, it's personal. I don't want to bring up past memories for you." she stated quietly. I kept my stern look until she sighed and finally broke down.

"I found my mate. But he did not wait for me. I caught him with a she-wolf the night of my birthday." Lily said while appearing pale and tired.

"I'm sorry sister, forgive me for prying. I Should have paid closer attention these past few months. I'm just worried for you. We will speak later, you may go."

I watched as she bowed her head and walked back out of my office. "Find him!! Make him pay for hurting our sister!"'ghost almost yelled at me. Rubbing my temples, I sighed. Oh Lily. You deserve better. Your mate will surely have his work cut out for him fixing the bond.

The more you try to push it away without breaking the bond, the harder it is to resist each other. Her mate must be a strong wolf. Thinking for a few...it hits me.

Strong mate, close to royals, player with the she wolves......my third in command. My gamma drake. How stupid am I. Three months it's been, and I didn't notice Drake has avoided Lily.

"Gamma. Come to my office. Now!" I mind linked not happy about this situation. Gamma drake never wanted a mate, Lily on the other hand dreamed of her mate since she was a pup.

My sweet yet mischievous little sister deserved better then this. She will have better then this.
