CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

King alpha aegons pov:

What have you done?! Ghost howled in my head. Now she wants to leave. She thinks we do not want her or the pups! Ghost shut the link off after yelling at me to fix it.

I ran to her room. Hair dripping wet from my unfinished shower. Only a towel to cover my self. I flung her door open and stepped in. The bedroom.

Amelia shot her head up when I burst through the room. "Your majesty?" Standing up from the couch she Bowed and looked down. Taking a couple tiny steps back.

"Please don't go!" I rushly blurted out. She brought her head up and looked confused. "My gamma came to check on you and heard you speaking to the pups." She looked down.

"I'm sorry alpha. I didn't mean to disrespect you." Keeping her eyes to the floor. I walked slowly to her. Stopping in front of her.

"Amelia. Please don't leave. I've been a horrible mate. I was scared. With after everything you have been through, you wouldn't want me near you. So I kept my distance."

She rubbed her belly while still not looking at me. I slowly grabbed one of her hands, kneeling down to face her baby bump of a belly. The sparks shooting through my hand due to the mate bond.

"Amelia, please look at me." I said while trying to make eye contact. Finally moving her brown eyes onto my blue ones.

"I have been a bad mate to you. You've needed me to be by your side and I have neglected you."

"I need you Amelia. I want you to need me too." Reaching my other hand up, I gently rubbed her belly. She looked Shocked at my actions and flinched back a bit.

"I would never hurt you..or the pups. Let me spend the rest of my life proving it too you."
Standing up, still holding one of her hands I reached for under her chin. Slowly lifting her head up to look at me again. "You don't have to answer now. Just. Please, don't leave me."

Amelia's pov:
He stood in front of me. Nearly naked. A towel is the only thing hiding a part of his body. Muscular arms, shaggy blonde hair and blue eyes any she wolf would melt into.
He stood begging me to stay! After avoiding me, he was now here. Begging me to stay. I was baffled. Holding my hands, he rubbed his thumbs in circles. Waiting for my response.
"I'll stay." I said in a quite whisper.

Grinning he let go of my hands.
"Thank you Amelia. I should go and get dressed." Before leaving he turned and asked me to meet him for dinner tonight at 7:30.
Slowly nodding yes, he grinned again and shut my door. Midnight smiled.

"See he does want us!" She said with a I told you so tone. Looking at the clock it read 4:12pm. A nap sounds like a good idea before getting ready to meet my mate. I laid down in bed and fell asleep to the thought of my mate.

Waking from my nap, I turned over to see the time. 6 pm. Yawning I sat up and decided to shower. Walking into the bathroom I turned the shower on while beginning to undress.
Over the years I have acquired a few scars from the blood moon pack.
5 whip lashes are faint to see but defined on my back.  A few scare on my hips and sides of my stomach.

A large scar from a few years ago starts from my left inner thigh, going down to my knee. That one was from alpha Chad For the first time I refused to give him head.
Turning I got in the shower and washed my insecurities away.
"Mate wants us." Midnight said.

"Mate wants pups!" She purred excited.

I finished getting ready in a long dark blue maternity gown that I found in my closet. Another one of the twins many outfits they brought me. My hair dried and left down. Naturally curly no matter what I do with it.
Stepping into the hall there were No wolfs to be found roaming about.
The castle has been decorated for Christmas that is near. It truly is amazing to see all the decorations and lights.
We never did this in blood moon pack.

I headed down the stairs. Still. No wolfs around. "I mind linked everyone to go out or stay in their rooms for awhile." Aegon said while walking up to my right side.

"You look beautiful Amelia. Thank you for joining me for dinner." He stuck his hand out for me to take. Hesitating a moment, I reached for his hand and took it. Allowing him to lead the way.
Aegon walked me down a few different halls before we made our way out into the back of the castle. Silence in the air as I held his arm while we Walked down a path and into a large garden.
Looking around there are candles lit all around. Floating on the pond, on the ground. In the trees. Flower beds lead the way to a glass green house.
A table was set for two, in the middle of the glass house. Sniffing the air, my stomach growled. I let go of his arm and allowed my nose to take me to the table. "What is this?" I asked him.

Aegon chuckled.
"It's lamb my mate. Have you never had it?" I shook my head no suddenly becoming embarrassed.
"Amelia, please. Don't get embarrassed." I grabbed her hand softly and kissed it.
"You are eating for 3 my mate. Sit. Eat as much as you like. It is all for you."

Smiling wide I sat down. Aegon pushing my seat in for me. "Thank you"

From there the night went like a dream. Aegon was respectful and did not attempt more then holding my hand and a hug here and there. He spoke to me about his past and family. About his work duties as king alpha and the packs he has visited through out the years. I spoke little of myself. To ashamed of my past. No good stories to share or family to talk about.
After dinner, aegon walked me back to my room. Stopping in front of my door, he turned to me.

"Amelia. Thank you for a Wonderful night" Instead of trying to kiss me he looked to my belly and grabbed it softly with both hands. Leaning down he whispered. "Good night little pups. We shall meet soon." And Kisses my belly. Then my hand. "Good night my mate." and walked back towards his bedroom.

Leaving me feeling safe and strangely aroused.
