44: Re-Awakening from Slumber

AUTHOR's POV

"Welcome children... Here is your task... To touch this stone tomb and see if you are the chosen one to reawaken the most beautiful maiden..." a man spoke with pride and joy "It is said that once you are the chosen one to reawaken her... She will revert a year difference from the one who awakens her as they are destined to also be lovers..."

A boy watched at a distance how the rich touched the tomb. He wasn't from the world. He was summoned to be a hero but once the King noticed that the one they summoned was a little kid and with no powers they abandoned him in a church. But the boy always spoke to a girl. Nobody was able to see her. Except for him. So the church abused him as they thought he had devil eyes. But he saw her again. Sitting on top of the tomb looking around sad. She hasn't told him her name yet as she was afraid of him getting hurt.

Their eyes locked and this whole place started shaking. He felt such a surge of power coming from her tomb. She looks around afraid. She looks at him again and someone grabbed him. He noticed the man who was speaking earlier. He is mad at the boy. The boy is terrified as he knows he will get hurt for sneaking close. The poor aren't allowed to be near the location of the tomb. They want someone rich to inherit the power as well as a powerful maiden. But vines surround the boy smacking the man away from him.

The boy looks around in shock and the glowing words Leave him alone was above him.

"The maiden has chosen... But why has she not awoken from her tomb?" the man yells at a distance

The words leave him alone vanished as words took its place as Not ready to awaken. Everyone was in shocked but the man smirked darkly. 'Run away... Stay away from here... Live a beautiful life away from here behind the church I have left you the current currency this world has...' The girl has spoken to the boy in his mind so nobody knows his plan. He looks back at her as she smiled at him while crying. 'Have a beautiful life' It was her last words as her ghostly form vanishes into thin air. The vines went crazy scaring people away but as well as making a path for the boy.

He stares at the empty spot as he was already missing her. His heart heavy. But he knew he couldn't help her. He knew he needed to get strong. He may have his memories from another world but he wants to help her. Same way she helped him. But he needs to train. Men with official outfits form that time started yelling for the boy to stay there. The boy felt a light push and he looks around. Saw nobody. But he knew it was a sign to run away.

"I'll come back for you..." whispers to her as he stares at her tomb

Her soul feeling surprised as she expected him to run away and curse at her for chosing his pure heart. But instead said he'll come back for her. The evil man tried his best to fight back the vines but she did her best to give the boy time to run away. Take the currency and run away.

'I'll miss talking to him...'

Was her last thought as she went back into her slumber.
