New Beginnings

Surprise

Christianson has been home for a almost two weeks now, and the nursery is finished. The rest of the family has respected their wish for privacy. Victor and Nikki have decided to throw a party celebrating their new son, and their family reuniting. Christianson will be christened as well. "I'm really happy that everyone we love is coming to Christianson's celebration," Nikki whispered to Victor, Christianson having fallen asleep in his arms. "I am too," Victor admitted. I know that it's a week away, but you know we have a lot of planning to do," Nikki declared. "I want it to be perfect." "In that case, I'm going to put him down for his nap, then we will start planning," Victor said. Nikki kissed Victor as he rose the couch, and took Christianson upstairs. Nikki sat on the couch alone, for what seemed like an hour, and thought about how her life has changed in the last month. The downfall of her relationship with Jack, the birth of her son, and her reuniting with Victor. She smiled in the thought of their new life together. These are the moments she had always wish to have with Victor. Their two other kids were grown, and have been for quite some time now. Victor wasn't present for either of their births. He was there during their early childhood, but they weren't together, not like a real family. Even when she did want to start again with Victor back in 1999, he didn't want children. But now to see that look on his face every time he holds Christianson in his arms, it makes her feel like she is doing something right, like there is hope for their future together. Victor comes down stairs as she is finishing her thoughts, but holding Christianson who, like Victor, is dressed in a tux. "Oh my goodness," he looks adorable. "Christianson has something to ask you," Victor says smiling. "Oh?" Nikki says curiously. Victor undoes Christianson's little suit jacket. He has on a white shirt that says "Marry Daddy Please" on it, in red print. Before Nikki can answer Victor pulls out a ring.
