New Beginnings

"Oh my God," Nikki gasped. "Well," Victor replied with a smile. "This...this is so sudden, I....I don't know what to say." "You could says that you will marry me." "Victor sit down." "You know I love you, I mean Christianson has only been home for a little while, and our new found relationship, is just that new , we don't truly know what will happen.  Victor, taking it all in, paused and said Darling, I love you, and I know that we will make this work." "Yes," Nikki replied with a little determination, "but we should wait and let things happen, we have so much going on in our lives." "Nikki, what about our son, hmm, doesn't he deserve to have parents whom are committed to each other." Nikki, meeting Victor's eyes said "Yes, he does." "Nikki I love you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you," Victor began as Nikki's eyes filled with tears.  Victor holds his son in his arms and looks from him to Nikki, "This new family that we have has given my life the greatest joy, and it's only been two weeks." "But everyday, waking up at 2 a.m. , or 6 a.m. , (they both chuckle), has given me a new purpose." "You know I've never been hands on with any of my kids, and at some points, not even in the same house with them, but this has given me a chance to get it right." Nikki, at this point, has tears steaming down her face. "You and our kids are the most important people in my life." Victor holds up the ring again, and says "Will you marry me?"

Victoria calls Nicholas. "Hey Vic, what's up?" "Listen I need your help." "Sure, anything, just name it." "I need you to help me convince mom and dad that they shouldn't be together." "Wait, what?" Nicholas replied confused "I thought that's what you've always wanted." "Yes it is, but after there track record, is that really worth hoping for?" Victoria asked. "Well it isn't really up to us." "Not as far as their relationship goes, no, but it is up to us to protect our little brother." "You know what's going happen, Mom and Dad will l basically live separate lives, they will fight nonstop, lose trust, one of them will eventually cheat on the other, and they will go through a horrible divorce." "Do you really want our little brother who is so innocent to be caught in the middle?" "No I don't, but I don't see how breaking them up will help our little brother either." "It will save him from all the heartache we had to go through Nick." "Wow, you really want to do this don't you?" "Yes I do." "Well, you can count me out" "What you really aren't going to back me up." "No, because I don't see how destroying their happiness is going to help them." "Well fine then I'll just have to do it myself." "I hope you reconsider." "Bye" Nick was utterly shocker after that phone call. "How could she even think to do this?" He thought to himself.

Back at the ranch, Nikki accepts Victor's proposal, and the two are so excited. "Well I think we should start telling people , at least family." "Me too you know Victoria will want to be the first to know, let's call her."

Hi my darling, I'm going to put you on speaker phone, ok." "Ok." "Your father and I have so news." "I'm all ears." "We're engaged." "That's great mom, I'm so happy for you," Victoria says hearing how excited her mother is and not wanting to tell her how she really feels over the phone. "Well we've go to go, we have a lot to do." "Alright then bye." "bye" "Is it just me or did she not sound too enthused." Nikki said surprised. "Darling you know this is what she has always wanted, maybe she was just busy." "Yeah you're right." The two here Christianson crying on the baby monitor, and Nikki goes to get him.

 Victor calls Nick. "Hey Dad. "Hey my boy." "I have some exciting news for you." "You've got my attention." "Your mother and I have decided to remarry." "That's great dad." "How's mom?" Nick asks. "Just as thrilled as I am" "Listen I got to go, I have to meet Vic at the club." "Ok son, have fun." "Bye" "Bye"

Victoria and Nick meet up at the club. "Did Mom call you," Victoria asks Nick as soon as he arrives. "No, Dad did." "Well I bet you're thrilled," Victoria tells Nick. "Actually I'm not." "Oh." "I think they are rushing things way too quickly." "I mean sure they just had a baby, but after only two weeks, that's insane." "Did you tell Dad that, of course not and I hope you didn't tell mom over the phone like that,"Nick replied. "You know I wouldn't do that, but we need to go tell them in person right now!" Victoria said hoping she'd finally gotten through to Nick.
