Only a few minutes passed before the doorbell rang. Knowing that it was Hyunjin, I quickly ran towards the door and opened it.

And when you look at that, there he was, smiling and waving at me.

"Hi, Dahyun."

"What was it that you wanted to ask me?" I wanted to go straight toward the point, with that question eating me up from the inside out. I just needed to know as soon as possible what was the truth.

"I'll tell you when we get there." he sighed, which made me even more nervous and I was sure that at least my members could tell very well.

"Why?" he then just grabbed my hand and ran for it, running straight for the car.

This man always made me feel very confused, sometimes he would act like he was seriously into me, yet other times he'd act like he didn't even know who I was. I was seriously starting to question his intentions, as he kept giving me mixed signals

And no matter how many signs I could have possibly given him, he just wouldn't get it. Hyunjin was just too oblivious to ever anything.

Do you realize how much that frustrated me? Treating me only like a friend? That was never what I wanted, but I would gladly take it if that mean I wasn't going to lose you.

I was already starting to give up on the idea of us two ever being together.

"Don't get upset with me Dahyun..."

"If it was that serious, you would've told me right now."

"If it wasn't that serious, I would've just texted it to you." I didn't speak a word to him and just got into the car, feeling too upset to even talk to him the whole car ride. It wasn't until we finally got off and started to walk was when I finally spoke.

"Wait...are we going to-" a small doughnut shop came into my view and as he opened the doors, I was immediately greeted by the staff and that delicious scent of pastry goods.

We both sat down and ordered and once we did, I immediately continued investigating him and his intentions.

"So? Are you going to tell me now?"

"Hm...I'll tell you later, let's wait for the food to arrive first."

"Are you f*cking kidding me?! Hyunjin, I don't have time for this sh*t!! Are you just trying to waste my time?!"

"Don't be so impatient Dahyun, I'll tell you later, I'm trying my best not to ruin the mood right now." my face slowly fell, and I looked at him with saddened and hurt eyes.

"The mood was ruined a long time ago!!"

"That's why I'm trying to salvage what little is left."

Rose's POV

He looked quite shocked at how fast I got it, especially when we were still around ten minutes away.

"How...how did you even get it right?!"

"Jae and I hang out at that park all of the time, just to meet up and talk about our day and the most random, stupidest things you can imagine."

"We're just close like that." a slight chuckle escaped my lips, as I started to reminisce of all of those times, that I knew were going to be hard to recreate, with how busy the both of us had become, with both us becoming full-time idols, there was no time for us anymore.

Chan gave me a sad frown, while he continued to focus on driving.

"Is that the man who gave you the bracelet, the guy you're dating?" I let out a groan as soon as he said those words, even rolling my eyes at how annoying that question was, yet when I started to reflect on why those words irritated me so much, I became confused.

Because with those words, the same fluttering feeling was coming back and I wasn't sure if it was because of Jae or because of Bang Chan.

Who was the one who was making me feel so sick? Was this illness contagious and if so, who passed it on to me?

"For the last time, I can't date anyone because there's a literal toxic monster called Taeyong that will kill anyone who even glances at me and that monster was the apparent thing I dated for over five years."

"Also because of the public's reaction, of course-" we suddenly came towards a stop, which slightly interrupted me from my explanation, but whatever, the point was that we had already arrived, so that meant it was time for him to tell me the meaning for this whole dramatic scheme.

"Okay, we arrived at the park, so spill."

Dahyun's POV

There was a long, pausing silence between us two and it didn't even stop when the waiter served us our drinks and doughnuts. As we silently sipped on our beverages, I looked out towards the window next to us, wondering why that specific night, the stars shined so brightly and beautifully.

So perfect for a perfect goodbye.

"Dahyun?" that's when I completely snapped from the mini trance of the stars, looking straight at him and taking notice of his weird expression and odd eyes. They looked nervous and scared, which worried me a bit.

"Hm? What's wrong?"

"I have a question."

"Well, I'm not answering it, since you won't answer mine!" Ah yes, the perfect revenge. One point for me, zero points for him. I mentally patted my back as I held a proud smirk on my face, but he still decided to completely ignore my celebration

"What do you feel about dating?"

That was when I completely spat out the entire beverage onto him, staying still for a moment.

AUTHOR'S NOTES

A really important detail to remember about An Idol's Secret is that everything always repeats- Especially with Dahyun and Rose

If something happened to Dahyun, it can happen to Rose, sometimes two times worse.

It's part of the storyline that I have, so just keep that in mind!
