*Flashback*
"Well... A lot of it had to do with the fact I have never been on a date before with anyone ever" I admitted and Cody looked at me in surprise after I said that, I had noticed him staring at other girls. I frowned staring at him before my gaze snapped to a building top seeing two figures fighting.
"I am going to go," I said standing eyes narrowing, Cody's head snapped towards me.
"What why?" He asked eyes panicked and sad, I sent him a dark look and stepped back.
"No, it was a mistake coming here, horrible actually" I stated and hurt flashed across his face and I knew what I said was wrong and guilt instantly soaked into my heart.
"Cody I-" Cody raised his hand to silence me, and I froze leaving with my coat and my part of the bill.
*End of Flashback*
I sat on my couch staring at the TV that was turned off, my eyes were completely blank.
"Knock Knock?" My head snapped up to see Crow who walked in tail waving slightly. I can communicate with animals sometimes, his ears flicked as he jumped up.
"What wrong?" He asked confused eyes worried, Crow rubbed against my arm gently.
"I hurt Cody..." I explained the whole night and Crow huffed gently eyes watching me, he listened to me, I knew he hated Cody being loud and annoying.
"Honestly, he is full of himself" Crow stated and I looked at him, shocked then I giggled rubbing his head, nodding gently.
"I know he is Crow, I know" I said scratching under his chin, causing him to purr gently.
My furnace finally kicked in and I jumped hearing a noise outside my balcony doors, I frowned knowing that Cody wasn't going to come visit me any time soon after that date.
"Someone there?" Crow asked ear flicking and I nodded, legs shaking slightly out of fear.
The balcony door was unlocked, I could hear heavy breathing the person sounded injured.
My Vet instincts kicked in and I opened the door, a startled scream left my throat a figure sat crouched on my balcony nursing wounds on their chest, neck, and face.
"Woah are you alright?" I asked stepping forward, the figure jumped and spun grabbing me by my throat and pushing me into my apartment, I squeaked and gasped loudly for air.
"Shh shh shh" the voice hissed out lowly, the eyes of a feline stared back at me viciously and I gulped harshly.
"Ooooo~ You're Kraken's little play thing aren't you?" The voice cooed in amusement, her canines and green eyes glowed in a heated glee, a glee that made me sick to my stomach.
I kept trying to gasp for air, my lungs screaming in blind anger, my brain flashing warnings, I choked on the tight grip, it started to tighten around my windpipe more.
Crow had gone off to hide from the villian hiding in my home, I could feel my power stirring in my stomach and I opened my half-lidded eyes.
"Oh you don't know my name?" She asked voice cold as she shoved me down, I coughed trying to get breath into my lungs.
"I am Lioness, Second in command to Dragoking" She bragged eyes flicking around. I stayed down watching her limp around my apartment.
"Would... You want me to... Patch up your wounds" I said coughing slightly to regain my strength. Lioness spun on me her eyes confused as I looked at her.
"You're ungifted..." She hummed curiously as she helped me up, I stared the tall woman in the eyes, before I realized that she was lifting me up by my shirt.
"I work in a field of medicine... I can help you..." I said looking at her and she raised her brow.
"Sure" She said, setting me down and laying on the couch.
I went to my bathroom, grabbing the emergency med kit that I kept under my sink.
I walked back searching to make sure that I had everything, my eyes flicking as I walked back.
I tied my hair back and set the kit on my living room table.
"This might hurt you..." I warned gently and she shrugged her shoulders, playing with her claws.
"Nothing can hurt Lioness" She boasted eyes glowing, as I took the alcohol swabs and put it on the wounds. Lioness hissed angrily eyes flashing and I bit my tongue, harshly so I didn't make any remarks.
"You clearly know what you're doing..." Lioness said and I nodded slightly finishing up all the wounds all the ones excluding her face.
