Waking up next to Jarek was so lovely that I forgot I had to do another stupid trial. I just snuggled into him, dreading having to leave his side. "I know." he muttered before pulling me in as close as possible. "At least you're getting oxygen gear."

Jarek tried cheering me up, but I still didn't want to go. "For once, I'm grateful for bionics," I whispered against his skin. He chuckled and kissed the top of my head. "Plus, you don't have to wear that dress. Especially since I practically ripped it off you."

The door opened a bit so someone could leave clothes before leaving us be again. I whimpered and just snuggled back into Jarek. "No. I don't want to." He laughed before pulling me back so he could kiss my lips. "You have your Bionetics, my baby girl. With the oxygen gear, you will sail through this trial like it's nothing."

Jarek kissed my forehead before getting out of bed to get the clothes. "It's that tech gear you like so much. Must have come from Rhea for the trial." Jarek said as I got out of bed to check them out myself.

"Baby girl, you got to get ready now. This means they are expecting you at the Dome exit."

I stomped my foot and puffed my cheeks at him. "I'd rather have another round with you," Jarek smirked and leaned closer. "I would love to make you waddle to the gate, but I don't get enough time." He pecked my nose before giving me the clothes.

"Now go ahead and tease me and leave me wanting more."

I couldn't hold back from giggling as I washed up and dressed in front of him. Jarek walked me to the door and held me tightly before knocking. "I'll be watching from here with the guards. If I see anything shady, I'll break out to come to save you." He said before gently nipping at my neck.

"When I get back, you better leave me with many marks and my ass red," I whispered so only he could hear me. Jarek growled when the door opened. "Fucking hell. I corrupted you too much." He groaned as he moved away from me. "Go show them my lover is a better warrior than me."

I kissed him before leaving to be taken to the gate. I fixed my jacket as I walked up to King and his audience. "Glad you manage to get out of bed for your second trial, you wretched child." King Mir said before I waved my legendary blade at him. "You really need to stop insulting me. I'm not the bad guy, and you know it."

He squinted at me before signaling a warrior to help me put on the oxygen gear. "You should still have a whole take of air by the time you get to the ruins. Your second trial is to find the fertility crown jewel and return it to the vehicle that will bring you to the ruins." King Mir smirked as if he knew I was going to fail.

"When I return, I'll hand it to princess Minx as my way of hoping for a healthy birth."

My words made everyone mutter as Rhea just smiled at me. "What is the gem's color, and how big is it?" I asked the King, but he just kept smirking. "You're the Heavenly Protector. You should be able to find it without a description."

I glanced over at Rhea and saw her tapping on her arm. I shrugged before getting on the bed of the truck. When I closed my eyes, I saw Rhea had sent me an image of a pink oval diamond. I opened my eyes to see that we were in a tunnel. My Bionetics activated when my hand grabbed the warrior, trying to cut my oxygen tube.

When a camera drone came into view the moment, we were outside the Dome. The camera drone witnessed the knife in the warrior's hand I was gripping. "King orders. Sorry, Alora. You aren't going to make it to the Ruins."

I knew something was going to go wrong. I sighed heavily. I was so annoyed when they charged at me that I beat them off me without using my Bionetics. I moved swiftly to sit in the passenger seat and held a blade at his neck. "Is there even a stone of fertility in the Ruins?" The driver shook his head as he focused on the road.

"The gem is actually already in the castle."

I groan before checking my oxygen tank. Apparently, the, making my tank drop to half full. The driver took advantage of my distraction and jumped from the car. I hopped in the driver seat and hit the brakes before it crashed into a bolder. I hit my head hard into the steering wheel, cracking my mask.

It was getting harder to breathe as I crawled out of the truck. My vision was blurring in and out when I got surrounded. "If this is how I'm going to die. Tell princess Minx I'm sorry and Law, I love him." I was having trouble seeing the people, and someone helped me stand up.

"I love you too, Alora."

The person who spoke sounded like Jarek, making me feel safer. "Hold your breath." They said before taking my mask off. I shut my eyes tight as I held my breath. They quickly kissed my lips before replacing the mask. "Breathe, baby girl."

I took a deep breath and felt blessed that it was oxygen. I opened my eyes to see that it was Jarek helping me. I threw myself in his arms and held on tight. He kissed my shoulder before picking me up bridal style. "Let's go back to the Dome. These trials are over."

Jarek laid me in the truck with his men. The surrounding trucks had the ones that attacked me tired up. I flipped them off when they looked my way. "Now behave. They were only following orders." Jarek said while trying to bite my finger playfully.

I giggled and moved my hand away. We made it into the tunnel entering the Dome to see something I never expected. My mother was holding Rosaline's bloody cover body, trying to stop her slice neck from bleeding her out. The King was stabbed to death and lying on the ground with a bloody spear in hand. Devon was trying to take the purple blood-soaked knife from a stun Rhea drenched in purple blood.

If it weren't for the fact that people from Jupiter bled purple, I wouldn't know what happened. One of Jarek's men came overlooking, concerned. "That human girl that told us the trial was rigged came to expose the King. When she did, the King got infuriated and cut her throat." He said as I looked around to examine the damage.

"Princess Minx saved us!"

Everyone cheered as she snapped out of her trance. Rhea was always pro-life and would do anything to save lives. To take one is a whole another level, and she didn't have the Meditate Bionetic to help her cope with it. The people of Jupiter saw her as a hero, but not in her eyes. Rhea was now the monster she never wanted to become.

I just hugged Rhea tightly as we were escorted away from everything. We were leaving Damage control to Jarek, Devon, and my mother.
