( Day After Alora's Arrest)

.

.

I was storming down the hallway with Devon and some of my men trailing after me. They had locked me in my room until daylight. So I am still determining where Alora is and if she is still alive. I powered through my supposed grandfather's men and kicked his throne room doors open. Everyone in the room turned to see me as I shoved warrior after warrior away from me.

"What did you do to her!"

My grandfather sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose as he shooed all the servants away. Leaving Devon, Him, the warriors, and myself in the room. "Calm down. You're a warrior, not a child." Grandfather Mir said, annoyed at my behavior.

"Fuck you! You're in the wrong here, and you know it!" I said, pointing at him, before pushing one of his men away from me. "Minx told me everything you said. How dare you arrest Alora. What's her crime? Being fucking born?"

Grandpa Mir just raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. "You really think you love that evil child? How well do you even know her?" He questioned me, fueling my anger. I took a spear from one of the warriors and launched it to hit next to his head.

My actions made me a real threat, alerting the other warriors. Devon moved around, trying to calm them down since he knew I wouldn't kill him. "She not evil! She never asked to be born as his daughter. You should know no one can control that, or else I wouldn't exist." I said, trying to stay in a bit more control of my anger.

"That woman is the love of my life. Of course, I know her better than she knows herself."

I answered his central question, which angered me. "Yet she had no idea you were my grandson. Your real name, or how you are royal blood?" he pointed out as he smirked. "Because I plan to return to Earth once we're done here. I'm only a warrior to protect Minx." I said before grabbing Devon's arm and making him face the King.

"Devon here will take my place as her protector. Since they are each other's lovers."

Devon stood beside me confidently as I said he would be the warrior for Rhea. "Plus, when did you ever acknowledge my royal blood connection? You're the one that sentenced my father to death for defying your daughter and having her bear me." Everyone looked around, confused, if not shocked, by my words.

"You were the one that disowned me until I was useful when I asked to be trained as Minx's warrior."

Grandpa Mir just took a deep breath before standing up. "Have you noticed that all your cousins are female and aunts? Or how a good number of them no longer live on this planet?" He asked as he walked over to one of his warriors and took their hidden blade. "Your aunts were married off to create treaties with other counties and planets. Then, your mother gave birth to a boy."

He pointed the blade toward me when he mentioned my birth. "I couldn't have nobles or other royals knowing your father was a commoner. So, yes, I made up some excuse to have him killed, then married your mother off to a Noble. Which worked because he managed to win her love." He confessed as he twisted the blade between his fingers.

"I was proud when you said you wanted to be a warrior. It meant I didn't have to make you become one."

Grandpa Mir smirked before swiftly moving to have the blade at Devon's neck. "You are my successor, Law. You will marry a local Noble and take the throne. If you want mistresses, that is understandable, but that evil child will not be amongst them." He pointed out as Devon impressed me by not giving a reaction to the blade at his neck.

"If you try, I will kill your sister's lover." He smirked, knowing I would do anything for my baby sister. "So you're saying I never had any freedom, to begin with?" I asked as grandpa just gave a soft nod. "You might regret making me your heir."

I gripped the blade and pulled it away from Devon's neck. "Go to my sister, and don't tell her anything that just happened. If she asks about the cut on your neck, say a guard didn't recognize you." I said as Devon glared at Grandpa Mir. "Sure, anything for you, brah."

Devon went to leave when Rhea came running in. "Devon! I'm pregnant! We're going to have a baby!" She came in cheering as Grandpa Mir dropped the blade so I could hide it behind my back. "Oh my god, you're fucking kidding me."

He caught Rhea in his arm and held her firmly. "Thank you, Rhea." She pulled away once Devon lightened his hold on her. She looked over at Grandpa and me as if knowing what had happened. "Grandpa, you're going to have to release Alora." Grandpa looked increasingly annoyed at her statement.

"Alora will be one of my child's heavenly protectors, alongside her partner Law."

I smirked as I looked over at our grandfather, knowing he might be losing control over us. "No, I rather kill her and send her corpse to her father in pieces." He said before turning away from all of us. Rhea came up to me and held out her hand. She looked me in the eyes with a straight face while showing me her arm.

Rhea's Bionetic screen was activated and showed on her arm that she had turned out her Defense Bionetic. I sighed as I realized she did witness some of the bullshit. I gave her the bloody knife I was gripping before she took off. Rhea moved smoothly to stand before Grandpa and point the blade at his neck.

"If you wanted me to be obedient and a weak woman, you should have never sent me to Earth and let me die of cancer."

Her words cut deeper than her pointing the blade at her own family. "Either accept Alora as a protector and set her free, or I will gather everyone that came here with me and leave. That includes the one you plan to make your heir." Even I felt the chill that filled the air as I witnessed my sister's dark side take over.

"Only if she can pass all three Heavenly Warrior Trials."

Grandpa looked down at the blade, signaling no one to move on Rhea. "Deal, but if she wants to sweeten the pot, you better let her. Law was proper. You're in the wrong. She saved our lives countless times at the risk of her own." She moved the blade away from his neck.

"Only if you prove to us that you are pregnant." He said, smirking at us.

Rhea crossed her arms, and we all witnessed his smirk fade as it grew on Rhea's face. "Do all the testing you want, but if I sense you're testing is a way to kill my child, I will kill you and take the crown by force." Fear grew in Grandpa Mir's eyes as he knew she could do without trouble. The people of Jupiter loved her and were so happy to see she returned to the planet healthy.

"Deal."

He struggled to say one simple word. Rhea turned to me and grabbed my arm. "Let's go treat your hand." She smiled before taking Devon and me to the medical quarters. I love my sister, and glad to have her by my side.

"Don't worry. We will get Alora back." Those are the most powerful words I've heard yet.
