Behind walls

chapter twenty

Julie POV

"Okay Charles the suitcase is ready", I shout from my room. He rushes inside and takes the suitcase before walking out again. I grab the rest of our things and walk out of the room. I walk towards my mom who's standing in the kitchen.
"When are you coming to see us again?", she asks me as she gives me a hug.
"I don't know. We'll see. You can come and visit in Monaco if you want to. Charles and I always have a place for you. Oh and Pierre does too.", I say and smile at her.
"We'll see.", she says. My dad joins us too and we all say goodbye to eachother. They wish Charles and Pierre good luck for their race.
"I'll write you a message if we'll be able to attend the race or not. Most likely we're going to be there don't worry", my mom says.
We finish saying goodbye and we get into the car. The drive isn't very long. Pierre's driving while Charles's sitting next to him. Their listening to their loud music while I watch my social media. 
It's just the usual. Obsessive fans or massive haters. Nothing inbetween. I've been getting some death threats since Charles and I made our relationship public. Well not really public. We keep a lot to ourselfs of course and only share some pictures or storys if we want to. The threats don't impress me tough. I'm the one sleeping in a bed with him and not them so accept it. And I'm definitely not letting it ruin my day.
I fall asleep on the ride to the circuit. I've had this habit since I've been a little kid. No matter where we drive; I always get tired. Mostly I fall asleep. 
"Julie wake up", Pierre shouts at me and I open my eyes. I look out of the window and see a hotel. I sit up and open the door before unwearing my seatbelt and getting out of the car. Some people come and take our bags inside the hotel. Pierre's already walking to the intrance of the hotel and Charles gestures to me that I should hurry up a little. I catch up to him and take his hand as we walk inside. The hotel isn't very big but it looks very comfy. Everywhere are little sofas or chairs to sit in and there are even some corners to read. I definitely have to use that oppertunity and read in a book of mine. I just got a new one  because I finished the last one. 
The boys do the check in once again while I stand behind them waiting for them to finish. Not long after they walk away towards the escalator and I follow them. We stop at the third floor and walk towards our rooms. 
"Are you staying alone in your room?", I ask Pierre.
"No. Kika will come too on thursday", he says.
"Can't wait to see her again", I say and jump a little because of excitement.
"Me too", Pierre says and laughs a little.
We decide to meet again in the evening with the others and go out for dinner together. Carlos, Lando and Arthur are here too.
Charles pushes me inside and onto the bed with a smirk.
"What are you smirking at Leclerc?", I say with a small grin on my face.
"Nothing"
"So am I nothing to you?", I say with a now very serious face.
"What no", he says panicking a little. 
A smile appears on my face.
"You little shit. I thought you were angry at me", he says and laughs.
"But it was funny"
"No"
"Yes it was"
His face changes and he looks at me with a serious look. Suddenly I feel his lips on mine and close my eyes fully giving myself into the kiss. 

Charles POV

"You look hot", I say as she walks out of the bathroom with her outfit and makeup on. She's wearing low-rise baggy jeans with a small, very small top. Of course she's wearing her favorite sneakers again.
"I know right?", she says and smiles proudly. I slightly shake my head and chuckle. 
It's a thing I love about her. She's so proud of the way she looks and it's driving me crazy because it makes her much hotter than she already is. And the way she's wearing it, my god. 
"Can we leave Charles?", she asks me and I snap out of my thoughts.
"Uhm yes. Let's go", I say and smile at her. 
She takes her purse and we walk out of the room.
Down in the foyer she sees Arthur and runs up to him. He almost falls to the ground as she hugs him. 
"Arth I missed you", she says.
"I missed you too Julie", he says and laughs.
"Yes. Yes. We missed you too thank you for your excitement.", Carlos says sarcastically.
"Sorry. Hey Carlos. Hey Lando", she says and hugs them both too.
