Third pov
In Konoha hospital with Rex laying in a hospital bed as his eyes slowly started to open, and he sat up "What happened" Rex said his feet touched the cold floor of the hospital as he grabbed his clothes and put them on and walked out of the hospital and started to jump from tree to tree and landed on a view that confirmed his suspicions. He looked at the funeral for the third Hokage Hiruzen it then started to rain Rex jumped down from the tree onto the bar of the roof to the Hokage office, some were shocked to see him still being able to stand from his injuries Rex pulled the hoodie to his jacket over his head and walked to where the many flowers were placed on Hiruzen's coffin and placed a yellow flower on his coffin "This Flower will represent your courage and your wisdom Hiruzen." Rex said as he then walked away and jumped off the bar in the direction of his apartment
* Time skip to a week *
Rex pov
I was sitting in training ground 12 looking through my scroll of weapons and found my katana and summoned it and stood up and stabbed the katana into the ground then held up a hand sign and summoned multiple clones then pulled my katana out of the ground, I waited and they all charge at me and I charge back and started to cut down each one of them one by one trying to take the blows that were thrown at me, but I eventually got rid of the clones "Well if you're hoping to get revenge against Orochimaru your delusional" I heard a voice say as I turned to see a man with long white and tattoos by his eyes red sleeveless jacket a pale green kimono with matching gloves and a red geta.
" And who might you be." I asked as I sheathed my katana and looked at the white haired man. The man then jumped down and struck a weird pose and said " I am the toad sage Jiraiya the galant. " the man I now knew as Jiraiya, " And what exactly do you want " I asked as I started to get ready to head back home. " Simple to stop you from going after Orochimaru. " Jiraiya said with his goofy demeanor being replaced with a serious one, I turned and looked at him in anger " Do I look like I'm stupid, of course, I'm not going after Orochimaru without a plan and the skill but I'll tell you this he will pay for what he did. " I said.
Third poverty
Rex stared at Jiraiya in anger Jiraiya had a calm look as the tension grew until Rex turned away and picked his stuff up and put it in his bag and started to walk away " Thanks but I can handle myself " Rex said as he continued to walk away from the training ground and to his apartment, before he stopped " Ashley I know your there, no use in hiding when I can sense your Chakra " Rex said, " Wow there really is no sneaking up on you when Naruto told me that I thought he was kidding, well Anko sensei called us for a meeting and sent me to come and get you " Ashley said, Rex looked at her with his usual bored looked and nodded " Just let me put my stuff in my apartme-" Rex said before Ashley grabbed him and started to drag him " Nope there is no time we must go now " Ashley said grabbing Rex and dragging him to their destination.
* Time skip *
" There you two are. what took you so long?" Anko asked, " I had to drag him all the way here " Ashley said letting go of Rex, " I'm pretty sure that was your choice but okay " Rex said with his same bored tone like always, " Well that doesn't matter right now we have a new mission we have to go to the land of rain to bring back two people named Zane and Mei Hyoku " Anko said, Issac and Ashley nodded while Rex was in deep thought and shock ' How I thought everyone died how did they make it out ' Rex thought, " Hey Rex you okay you seem to be in deep thought " Issac said breaking Rex from his train of thought, " Yeah I'm fine let's just get the mission over with " Rex said clearly showing distaste for the mission
They all went to go get their stuff and pack go on their mission after wards they all met up at the gate " Are you all ready also Rex what's with the duffle bag " Anko asked looking at Rex with a face that screamed suspicious, " Don't worry about it " Rex said moving the duffle bag away in a protective manner. They all began to walk out of the village gates
Rex was in deep thought how could two people of his clan still be alive when he thought he was the only one left but if there was one thing for sure he had to make sure his child hood friends were safe " hey Anko sensei where exactly are we going to look for these two people " Rex asked looking over at Anko, " Oh the last time they were seen was near the border of the land of fire crossing into the land of mist " Anko said
* Time skip *
We see team 11 camping by a river for the night " Hey Rex you sure your okay you look worried and deep in thought about something " Issac asked, " Im fine im just gonna go to bed " Rex said walking into his tent.
Rex pov
I walked into my tent and went to sleep and I woke up in front of the cage holding Curse he hasn't told me his name so ive just resorted to calling him that " Hehehe well what are you going to do when you see the two of them " I he asked, " Why does that matter to you " I said glaring at him, " Oh please kid we both know what's in the bag your planning on giving them a helping hand " He said giving showing his sharp to with and evil grin but it was cut short when I threw a kunai at him " Don't even think about trying anything " I said glaring at him " Now leave me alone i'm going to sleep I said as I closed my eyes and finally got some sleep.
" Rex wake up we gotta get ready to go " I heard Ashley struggling to shake me awake, " Im awake you can stop shaking " I said as she stopped and I got up and started to get my stuff together and grabbed my duffle bag and walked out of the tent " Hey are you ever gonna tell us what's in the duffle bag " Ashley asked, " No I won't because it's none of your concern " I said walking away and went to a waiting Anko and Issa and we all started to walk to the land of mist.
Hiiiii it's me yeah im sorry for being gone for so long ive been busy with school and personal stuff but no need to worry im back so look out for the next two chapters see you byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :P
