"Lady Galadriel is here and would like to speak with the two of you." an elf maid informed both you and Thranduil who were sitting in the Throne Room.

"Send her in." Thranduil ordered.

It had been a month since Legolas had stopped by and things between you and Thranduil were never better.

"Hello." Lady Galadriel said, entering the room.

"What brings us this honor?" Thranduil said, standing up and bowing to the lady.

"I've come with good news. The Orcs have started returning to Mordor." The lady stated, but you felt she wasn't being completely honest.

"What did you do?" You ask, without thinking.

"What makes you think I did something?" She questioned, intrigued.

"The orcs wouldn't just return, unless something had stopped them, and you would do anything to keep Middle Earth safe." You stated, eyeing her.

"You are wise beyond your years." She smiled. "Let's just say that I took care of the problem for the time being. I have set up a watch at the borders of Mordor, and as of now there will be no reason for war." Galadriel stated.

You just stared at her in awe, unsure of how to respond, but at the same time it felt as though a heavy weight had been lifted off your shoulders.

"I cannot stay long, I only intended to inform you of this. I really must be on my way now." She spoke softly, her voice melodious.

She turned to walk towards the door, pausing briefly with her hand on the handle."I believe a congratulations are in order."

"A congratulations for what?" Thranduil asked, giving you a confused look.

"The child." She answered, then she disappeared through the doors, rendering you unable to speak.

"What child?" Thranduil gave you a panicked look.

"Did she mean what I think she meant?" You finally said.

"It can't be." Thranduil answered, clearly in shock.

The two of you sat in silence for a long while, the weight of the news you received consuming your thoughts.

***********

"I can't be pregnant." You finally said, "I might have to lead an army. I can't be pregnant."

"We should call our doctor to examine you." Thranduil said, monotonously, still lost in his own head.

"Forget calling, I'll just go see her." You said, and with that you got up and walked out of the Throne room in a daze.
