When Kenny woke up in his bed yet again his thoughts were only on one thing. He didn't even bother getting dressed. He ran out of the house in pajamas and his parka. His bare feet stung from the ice and snow as he ran to Butters house.
Kenny reached the door panting he couldn't feel anything right now his body was buzzing with adrenaline. He pounded on the door only for Mr Stotch to answer. He looked at Kenny puzzled. He didn't know why he felt guilty when he looked down at the boy in the orange parka but he did and it was strong. Kenny looked him in the eye and spat "out of my way Steven!" He pushed past him to run up the stairs.
He lunged into the hall way and stepped up to Butters door. He took a deep breath turning the door knob and stepped in. Everything looked the same. Untouched from the way he had left it. Kenny scanned the room. There was nothing!? He wasn't here. "No. NO!" He cried out. Kenny sat on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands. "it didn't work!" He cried into his palms.
Butters peeked out of his closet door to see Kenny. He giggled slightly before jumping out of the closet to surprise him. Kenny's head shot up. "LEO!" He picked Butters up and swung him through the air. He pulled him in as tight as he could before collapsing to his knees. "Well I missed you too fella!" Butters said as he pet Kenny's hair. Kenny pressed his face deep into Butters chest and continued to cry.
Kenny was overwhelmed and overjoyed he could finally have everything. He looked up at Butters tears streaming down his face. "Do you remember anything?" Kenny asked him he was torn between wanting Butters to share the memory of their time in the void and wanting him to forget. Butters smiled. "I remember. Everyone else thinks I was at aunt Nelly's but I know I wasn't." He looked down sadly.
The pair laid in Butters bed together holding eachother as if they would be torn away any moment. Kenny tenderly kissed Butters to his hearts content. Butters pulled away for a moment "We don't have to greet the guys right away do we Ken?" Butters asked sheepishly. "No Butters I want you all to myself just for a little while."
