mama 2020

award shows were hard to prepare for, especially in these times where the five weren't able to fully interact with their numerous amounts of friends in the industry.

it was the morning of the MAMA awards, and after only a few minutes of struggling, the besties were able to somewhat successfully wake the middle children up.

Misaki walked out of the room with her fluffy blanket completely engulfing her body, shoving her way through the corridor into YeonJun's room.

"Mi, you have to get ready~" the eldest called from his bathroom, Mia grunting in response as she plopped face first into his bed.

"i drooled on that spot." he said as he flossed, Mia making a gagging sound as she struggled to sit up.

"y'know if you'd take your hands out from under the blanket it'd really help with your stability," he noted as he walked towards his wardrobe, planting a kiss on the girl's head without looking up from his phone.

"y'know if i'd take my fist up your a-"

"Ono Misaki." Ara's voice sounded from the living room, a threatening tone in it.

YeonJun could only laugh as he sat on his bed, filling in the hole Mia had left once she'd jumped up to avoid getting a lecture from her unnie.

hours passed and they were now on their way to the company, skin and hair prepped to be drenched in product for the next few hours. Mia was already so tired.

there was a small, unidentifiable trace of excitement in her, though. she was confused at first, but decided it was just nerves for the award show.

her white dress with black accents complimented the group's look for the red carpet perfectly, she thanked her stylist unnies for their hard work and moved towards the boys.

"i can't believe we have to ride to the venue in these.. and stay in the van throughout the entire show... and not get to talk to our friends..."

"i'm meeting up with them regardless, i'll just say i need to go to the bathroom and run away when hyung tells me to wait for him. he'll never catch me. i'm too fast."

"okay sonic."

hearing the members talking about their friends outside of themselves was something weird for Misaki to experience — similar to the youngest, her friends outside of them were limited.

hell, she'd barely become friends with them two months ago.

hours passed, and the award show finally began. the five walked the red carpet once it was time — on their way a big group walked past, bowing at them repeatedly despite being behind their barricade of managers.

how many was that... 12? twelve people in a single team? i could never..

despite not knowing any of them, however, Misaki found herself searching for someone. her eyes had lit up with a glimmer of hope— but for who? did she expect to find the love of her life by making eye contact with them for a few seconds?

what is this? a fanfiction?

the girl mentally scoffed at her own thoughts, finding it ridiculous. maybe this was her brain's coping mechanism, though. maybe she was way too nervous and her mind was going into an automatic mode.. or something..

she couldn't have just been going clinically insane, right? there was obviously something.. or someone.. in that big group of boys that'd just walked by that she had some sort of connection to, right?
